Beautiful setting amongst nature and water
What a treat to stay in this cottage in Wellfleet. The deck looks out onto the ebb and flow of a salt marsh. Early one morning I saw a blue heron. The cottage is well equipped with cooking spices, pots and pans, as well as dvds and games. It is a quiet neighborhood and well suited for 2 adults with a short visit by two other adults. We certainly hope to return.

Feels like home!
This was our second year staying at this house. We absolutely love the location and the house has such a warm welcoming vibe. We literally feel like we are walking into our own home when we stay here. The setting offers peace and quiet and the house is always well stocked. Clark is very responsive to any questions and it’s very easy to communicate with him. We can’t wait to stay here again!

A Special Place

Pleasant stay in Pleasant Point!
Had a ball in Wellfleet and this cozy house felt like quintessential Cape Cod. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower overlooking the water and the screened in porch. Clark couldn’t have been a more accommodating host!

Love our stay on Drummer Cove
We love this place. Its perfect for our family of 4. Our 2 little girls can explore the yard and cove while we sit on the deck and drink coffee enjoying the incredible and peaceful view. We appreciate the old school feel and the extra details, especially the tide and wind clock, waffle iron, outdoor shower, charcoal grill, lighters, batteries, ping pong table, bottled water, side porch, all of it. We explored all the suggested nearby trails, the swim spots, local beaches, Ice Cream and its easily accessible from a Kayak. This place is just what we need to unwind. We will be back. -Mess family.

Wonderful house nestled by the water
We had a lovely time at the house. It was spacious, very clean and had lots of amenities. The updated bathroom was particularly nice. The view from deck and living room was beautiful. All the communications very easy to understand and follow.

Fantastic location
We absolutely fell in love with this property. It feels very much like a family home. Our kids enjoyed playing ping pong in the basement and exploring the cove. The house is so well stocked and just the right size. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Peaceful, pleasant home on a quiet marsh
Very much as described: simple but very pleasant and comfortable house, with everything in great working order, really well supplied, and a very peaceful pretty outdoor area with lots of convenient seating and a great screen porch. Quick drive to some of the most beautiful places on the Cape! The surrounding area is really pleasant too - doesn't feel like being on the open water, but very peaceful. When we were there even in high tide the water never came as close to the house as it does in the main picture on the listing, but it was great to sit outside and listen to the birds.

Relax and do what you want to do
We had an amazing visit with our 2 girls under 8. they loved exploring the cove for crabs and I was able to launch my kayak a short walk away. The house is old school family style with everything you need and more. Its really close to Welfleet Harbor (10 min drive) and we did not leave the area for a week hitting every beach in Welfleet for shelling, exploring and fishing. The deck and porcheds made for good relaxing and sunning. I appreciated the outdoor shower and the hose as I am a fisherman who brought back a stripers and bluefish to deal with. The charcoal grill is not as fast as gas but is excellent for grilling the old school way.

Property was super-clean and well maintained. The owner got back to us almost immediately to answer all of our questions. The location was perfect. The house is well-stocked with just about anything you might need on vacation (we were especially impressed with all the spices available for cooking.)

Excellent stay, perfect location
This home is not the most modern but has some nice updates that seem to be recently done to the woodwork. Everything was very clean and well kept and the setting was just as pictured; just beautiful! Overlooking a tidal cove uncluttered by many other houses. It was in the perfect location for us as we love the Eastham/Wellfleet/Truro area. The house is extremely well equipped and all directions/information was clear and conconcise. We had a wonderful stay!

Nature lover's paradise
The house and its location are a paradise for birdwatchers or people who love nature. The property directly adjoins a tidal marsh at Drummers Cove, with Great Blue Herons foraging nearby, hawks and Ospreys making occasional fly-bys, and a backyard bird feeder that draws chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers, goldfinches, and more. (The house had some bird seed but I suggest bringing some too.) At low tide you can walk out along the edge of the marsh and look for little crabs. Or sit on the deck or the screened porch and watch the light change and the tide come in and out. There are other walking paths nearby along the cove/bay and through the woods. And of course, all the nature of the Outer Cape is just a short drive away -- ocean beaches with dunes, bayside beaches, and the Audubon wildlife sanctuary in Wellfleet. The house itself is homey and comfortable, not an "eye-popping luxury" kind of property. The kitchen is well-equipped with pretty much everything you need for cooking, including lobster pots and a dishwasher. No AC, but there are standing fans that help if it gets really hot. Very nice updated bathroom. My daughter and Iused our week as a "working vacation" -- in the mornings, I worked on my laptop on the screen porch, with the birds and marsh in the background, and in the afternoon we went to the beach. It was super-relaxing!

Beautiful view, peaceful and lovely
Two adults and one six year old enjoyed our time at this well-situated house immensely. The view of the cove was the best part, and we had herons and osprey perched in the trees nearby on multiple occasions. Lovely!

Perfect getaway
We had a wonderful family vacation. The home was in a beautiful spot, steps to small hikes and the water. We were able to put our canoe in a short walk away from the house and paddle the cove in a peaceful, quiet setting, but we were just a short drive away from the major beaches of Wellfleet. We loved eating dinner every night in the screened-in porch overlooking the water. There was plenty of room for our family of four. Clark was communicative, proactive and accommodating!

A Family Favorite on Pleasant Point
The Santos cottage that overlooks Drummer Cove has been a family favorite of ours when visiting Wellfleet. We have stayed at this residence multiple times and have had wonderful stay each time! Returning to this cottage is one of our favorite highlights of the Summer! The owners take pride in maintaining the charming residence, by engaging in updates to ensure that this property will continue to provide lasting memories that depict the true vision and spirit of living on the Cape. Hands down the best experience I’ve ever experienced.

Dream location!
Beautiful setting on the cove. Beautiful views from the deck, screened porch and the picture windows in the living room. Many beautiful walks from right out our door around the cove and in the woods of the conservation area. The house was spotlessly clean and very well-stock. My husband and I were having a second vacation week, but my adult daughter was working remotely. She said it couldn't have a nicer place to work, with the beautiful view and good internet service. We loved this house!

A lovely stay in South Wellfleet overlooking a marsh.
I must start by saying the owners were extremely kind and helpful! They were easy to contact and consistently responded to my email questions quickly. They walked us through the town’s needed paperwork, checked to make sure we were comfortable and answered questions throughout our stay. The space is beautifully situated looking over a lovely marsh. There are small walking trails and places to set off on kayaks in walking distance. This is not a fancy, sparkling new space. It IS a sweet, simple lived in home with all the amenities Youll need except a/c which worked out fine for us. The owners leave renters more than enough items to cook with and for storage. They offer paper towels, cleaning liquids, soap, a high chair, beach chairs etc which hasn’t been true of other places we have rented in Wellfleet in the past. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the marsh and all the birds. There’s also a large screened in porch with the same view. I would definitely rent this home and from these home owners again!

We had another wonderful week, our 3rd year. The home is perfect for our family; fantastic location.
We discovered the listing three years ago and we have rented for a week ever since. Eleanor is extremely responsive throughout the process and resolves any issue we have. The home is in a great location and has everything my wife, daughter and I need to experience a great week in Wellfleet. A very relaxing getaway. It is near everything and there are many nice walks in the neighborhood. We hope to return in future years.

Great week in the cove
My family and I had an excellent week staying here. When not exploring the wonderful town of Wellfleet, we really enjoyed spending time on the deck and in the screened-in porch. Both offered a great view of the water. The setting felt private and very tranquil. We also liked that it was a just a short walk (~5 minutes) to take the kids to a nice little bay beach (certain times are better depending on the tide). The owners were always responsive and great to work with.

Charming Cottage Nestled in Pine Grove with Beautiful View

A lovely, quiet and spacious property. Eleanor made everything easy and provided lots of information about things to do. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds comfortable. The deck was great and we could still enjoy the beautiful view of the cove on rainy days from the kitchen and living room. Lots of great bird watching...we even has an owl visit one night. Definitely would stay here again.

This home is exactly what my husband and I wanted in a vacation rental! Everything we needed is here; a fully stocked kitchen for cooking in, nicely kept home that's comfortable and a gorgeous view of Drummers Cove. Outdoor activities are close by whether you like a day at the beach or a walk on a cool, wooded trail. You can't go wrong if you choose this property.

Quiet neighborhood for nature lovers
Peaceful location with beautiful views from every room. Many nice short walks nearby along marshes and pine forests and to quiet beach at Pleasant Point. It was interesting to go to the nearby beach at different times of day. Swim or kayak at high tide. Walk the mud flats at low tide. Nice for wildlife viewing. The Fiddler Crabs were our favorite. Close bike ride or drive to many excursions throughout the National Park or to Wellfleet beaches.

We love the beautiful setting with a great view of the Cove in a quiet area. The Bay, ponds and National Seashore are a short drive away. Bay is short walk. This place is a great break from the busy area where we live year-round. Home has all the amenities for a fun vacation.

Lovely traditional Cape cottage sited beautifully on a salt marsh
Very gracious hosts provided for almost every contingency. This spot is a feast for bird watchers and nature lovers. The salt marsh is a fascinating ecosystem and this little cottage is sited in such a way as to take full advantage of its exposure. I've been going to the Cape for over sixty years and this little cottage reminds me of the houses my folks would rent back in the day. No hand pump in the kitchen for well water but otherwise quite reminiscent of the good old days. That said, it's got every convenience and everything runs like a top. Very happy to have had the chance to visit this year.

Beautiful location
We had a great time at this Wellfleet house. The views were beautiful even on the cloudy days. The location is a 5 minute walking distance to a small beach/cove. We didn't swim but took nice walks. The queen size bed is comfortable. The room with 3 twin beds worked well for our teenagers. The living room and kitchen are both a nice size. One of the best outdoor showers we've had!! Eleanor was amazing with communication. When I emailed her, I'd often hear back from her within hours.

A beautiful, quiet, serene setting overlooking Drummer Cove
We had a delightful visit to Wellfleet this June 2017 truly enhanced by our stay at the Santos' house. The house overlooks Drummer Cove in a quiet, tree-lined piece of heaven, and has all the amenities one could want for such a visit. The photos are completely accurate. A wide deck with an enclosed area, an outdoor shower in a wood stall, a wood paneled living room with comfortable furniture, books and TV, a large kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, dishes and the like, two bedrooms, a washing machine and dryer downstairs, and more. Eleanor Santos was extremely helpful in providing information on Wellfleet activities and maps and accompanying descriptions for local hikes were on a bookshelf in the living room. Only a short drive to the incredible ponds (Gull Pond and Great Pond) of Wellfleet as well as to ocean beaches and the magical White Cedar Swamp Trail. An easy drive to Provincetown as well. But waking up each morning and looking out the living room window toward Drummer Cove provided a feeling of peace and serenity not likely available in hectic P-town.

If u are looking for a beautiful place to stay, this is for u....the setting is breathtaking, the owners are phenomenally nice, and the house is perfect. My wife is in a wheelchair and the layout is for her. The Santos have that home stocked with everything u could possibly need. I am looking forward to hopefully bookin this home again for next year. Beautiful and perfect.
