This property fit our needs perfectly. My 82-year-old mother was very impressed. She did ask about a handrail for the steps but everything else was better than she expected. Alisha was a perfect hostess, and I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Perfect little home!
My family and I loved staying only 19 minutes from Caberfae Peaks ski resort. The house had plenty of room for the 4 of us. Had everything thing we needed to cook meals. The little M-55 Market next door is super amazing and has everything you could need. Super easy to contact host. Will definitely be back!!

Amazing all around
We randomly picked this cabin on VRBO and it was an amazing pick. The property owner was extremely friendly and communicated instantly when I reached out to her. (Access code stopped working during stay.) Location was close to local restaurants and a market store but far enough away from city life to enjoy the peacefulness of the wilderness. And it was easy to get to the bigger cities. Highly recommend this cabin and will be renting again for next summer.

Up north disc golf weekend
We typically camp for this kind of thing but I’m getting older and wanted a house instead. Place was cozy but had what we needed. It rained almost the entire weekend so the cabin was clutch.

Disappointed and I won’t stay there again
There was a mouse or something in the house, wall or attic. You could definitely hear something and there was a horrible smell due to a dead and decaying rodent in there too. The owner did bring a mouse trap upon my request but didn’t offer any compensation on the price for our part in dealing with that mess. It was a long four days there and caused both my spouse and I restless nights sleep.

Thank you for the review. Upon check out and since your check out, we have not been able to duplicate the smell or the noise. We are not positive what you experienced. Additionally, I did offer to have someone look into the issue but you declined and it didn't really sound like it was bothering you too much. Had I known it was keeping you and your husband from sleeping, I would have insisted upon checking this issue out. You seemed more concerned with the possibility of a loose mouse than anything else- which we additionally have found no evidence of. I'd recommend communicating any issues to the homeowner clearer in the future so that they are given the opportunity to improve. We did everything that you requested. I'm very sorry for your experience but I'm disappointed that you did not allow us to check it out for ourselves at the time it was occurring so that we could remedy it.

I’m glad everything was good. I’m sorry you didn’t feel like there were enough places nearby to eat. We do have several options in the area as listed in our welcome book. Next time you might find a hotel in the city to better meet your needs.

Great jumping off point
I'm really glad I found this cabin specifically for its location. Our whole goal was to enjoy the outdoors, and this Wellston spot is so much closer to hiking and kayaking than Manistique. Plus we got to have a fire every night. :) There was background highway noise, as mentioned, but it didn't bother us at all.

Used the cabin while fishing for a couple of days. Convenient to Tippy Dam and fishing on the river. The cabin was as advertised and met all our needs. It was easy to book and was clean, quiet and peaceful. Would re-book again without hesitation.

Perfect Girls Weekend at the Cabin
Our stay was absolutely amazing. We were all in for the North Country Trail run so although we didn't spend much time in the cabin we really enjoyed our stay. You can tell the owners went out of their way to make sure guests had everything they needed during the stay. It was the personal touches and thoughtfulness that really made the stay. The cabin is right off the main road through town so it's easy to get to everything and it was quiet.

Although my family didn’t officially make it up to Mi for our stay (sick children 🤢) I still give the cabin a 5 star rating! Alicia is one of the most understanding, professional cabin owners I’ve come across in a long time! We had to cancel due to the unfortunate circumstances which I was already upset about and instead of getting upset or angry with me she was sincere and compassionate! It spoke volume to me..So I truly appreciate her kind heart and can’t wait to get up there in the future! 🖤

We had a wonderful stay, the owners went out of they way to make sure had everything we needed. One of the highlights was the Cherry bowl drive in. One week was not long enough to enjoy the beautiful weather and beaches. Thanks again.

Great experience with this rental - owner was very attentive and responsive to all communications. Cabin is well maintained, clean and in a great area to hit the snowmobile trails - we are looking forward to booking this location again very soon!
