Backyard oasis
Host is super accommodating and responsive. I had a fair amount of questions and she was always so prompt and kind in her responses. The backyard is incredible and why we booked this property specifically. The house is also stocked with anything you might need. I’ve never stayed in a house that was so ready for what any guest might need and we appreciated that.

Family gathering
This is our second visit to this property. It is a typical old Florida house but everything we needed was there and everything worked just fine. My wife and I stayed here for a week and our children and grandchildren came to visit daily. The pool is heated and the yard around the pool is spacious and perfect for a family cookout. As we were driving to the airport to go back home, my wife said we should stay here again. We probably will.

House & Pool Area very nice.
Only negative was three of the seven nights awakened by noise in neighborhood. One night loud talking about midnight; another night three hours about 3 AM of loud "base" /thumping music; another night firecrackers ( not too loud) at midnight for only about 5 minutes. Did not feel endangered. Nothing home owner can control.

Gorgeous Garden
The house is small and older but we loved the property! We spent all of our time in the beautiful backyard. The host was great - very responsive, had some treats set out for our kids before arrival. We would love to stay again.

Excellent getaway
Stayed for a week this past March. Silvia is an excellent host with superb communication. She allowed us to check in early so we could enjoy her fabulous backyard. The pool is beautiful and there are 2 eating areas, loungers, a bbq and an exterior building with a full bathroom and washer and dryer. The house is clean and well equipped. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Wonderful stay in a nice area
We loved the house, and the pool and outside area are just wonderful. I relaxed every afternoon for a few hours by the pool. The house itself is old but cozy and comfortable and has everything you need. Silvia is a great hostess and easy to reach if you need advice. We felt very welcome and at home. We definetely will come back next year. I believe because it is not a new house it has great advantages. The way it is built, you can open the windows, the sun doesn't get in (insect screen on every window) and we never had to use the air con. The wooden floors are warm and comfortable and nice looking. The coffee maker (Keurig)made great coffee for us in dem morning and dishwasher and washing machine and dryer worked like a charm. The only downside is a very small bathroom, where you don't have much space over the washing basin. The shower is big enough. There is a second bathroom, but it is located outside the house in the same small building where the laundry is. So if you are more than 2 people you should be prepared. For us it idn't pose a problem. And one more thing: our little dog, Honey the poodle, loved the garden and could run around with no chance of getting out into the street. The area of West Palm Beach is very nice with lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops and parks for walking. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful outdoor space with private pool, deck, etc.
The outdoor space was second to none with a deck, two eating areas, chairs, and grill surrounded by lush greenery. What a way to spend the winter in Florida! Close to a great West Palm Beach market and the beach. We were minutes away from the Zoo (science museum and planetarium.) The hostess was very responsive and welcoming. Lots of towels and beach supplies. Large kitchen that is well stocked. To give a complete review, the house is older and not well insulated. This is not a problem in terms of temperature in the winter. It does allow for a lot of noise from the near-by roads, planes, and trains. Easy to get used to, but weird to be sitting in a oasis that sounds like a big city sometimes. And it made for a loud New Year's Even and New Year's day. The age also leads to a compact bathroom inside but there is an additional bathroom that is roomy. Given the opportunity, we would visit again.

Cozy Classic Historical Spanish Residence
We 3 adults from Vermont loved our 3 week vacation at Sylvia’s home in WPB. Sylvia was outstanding and communicative from start to finish. Sylvia’s home is warm, cozy, and inviting. The plaster walls bring you back to a time when homes were built solid. Sylvia’s Spanish home was built in the 1920’s and embodies character that you seldom see in today’s modern design. The hardwood floors are gorgeous. The layout and design of the home is both practical and airy. Sylvia provides everything you need in this home from kitchen supplies to lots of top quality towels and linens. We felt like we were residing at a family member’s home due to the comfort, art work, decoration, number of ceiling fans, and necessities provided. The kitchen is large and functional. We requested a Keurig for coffee and Sylvia provided this in addition to a traditional coffee maker. Air conditioning was sufficient. The pool area was wonderful! Very private, excellent gas grill which we used daily, we loved the heated and clean pool and all of the tropical foliage. The rear deck was shaded from the day’s sun and we enjoyed coffee and breakfast out on the deck. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, washer and dryer, and bathroom near the pool. We felt very safe staying here and enjoyed the diversity of the neighborhood. There are many family-owned great restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed Lake Worth Beach frequently. There are 3 TV’s in the home. Sylvia was a very responsive and generous host. Thank You Sylvia for such a relaxing 3 week reprieve from winter in Vermont. We will cherish our memories!

It has a nice backyard, but...
The home only has parking for one vehicle and not a large SUV or truck. It has a 2nd bathroom out side of the home. It's a pool house bathroom that is located in the laundry room. The only bathroom in the house is quiet small. If you are over 5' 4" your knees are going to hit the glass shower door. The bedrooms are quite small and the central air doesn't seem to flow well in them, but the mattresses allow you to have good sleep. They do supply fans. The front door doesn't open or close well so you have to you the kitchen door. The home is kept well however it had an musty old home smell. So we brought good scented candles. The 2 bedroom face the street and the curtains do NOT block out the imagine of people in the bedrooms changing. The neighborhood wasn't great either. For the money paid no one in the group was happy we just stuck it out and had to suck it up for 9 days. We were a group of 5 between the ages of 40-60. A friend left some new summer dresses she purchase and they were very nice to call us and mail them to us. We rent 4 x a year in Florida and this was too expensive for the quality of home and neighborhood.

Thank you Lazaro for your review A very important tool for us to make improvements. Already had our AC duct/vents professional cleaned.to eliminate any musty smell. The house was build 1926 so the rooms are smaller but think that our outside space and heated pool make up for it. Our neighborhood is older but with nice neighbors and a great location to many awesome restaurants and only min away from downtown City Place, All our windows do have vertical blinds

Great location for sun and fun!
The pool area was wonderful we spent a lot of time there! The house itself is older and could use a few cosmetic updates, but overall, It was great. We enjoyed the area so much including Lake Worth Beach and downtown West Palm Beach, both within east driving distance of 10 to 15 minutes. Lots of great restaurants too. The owner was so helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend!!

The pool is the star of this property
LOCATION: Our first impression of the area as we arrived was not great...it's fine, but not really a place I would walk or jog alone. PROPERTY: The house is dated, as mentioned by other reviewers. That didn't bother us, but there were things in disrepair that would be easy fixes, so that was disappointing. The front and back doors do not have keyless deadbolts and there is a gap in the front door. The sliding patio door should have a security bar installed as well. The high touch areas of the house were clean, but it could really use a deep clean. HOST: The host was responsive and had everything there that we needed, but she never reached out to us...only responded to our messages. POOL/YARD: In the photos, it appears that the grassy area is inside the fence. It is actually the front yard, so if you are traveling with a dog, know that there is no grass inside the fence. The pool is great and is where we spent most of our time. It was clean and the pool deck and lounge chairs were great! I loved having a bathroom with a shower and laundry adjacent to the pool area! The landscaping around the pool is overgrown and needs some work. Overall a nice stay, but I would probably choose a different area if we return to West Palm.

Our goal is to make this house a Home away from Home for all our guests to enjoy a great vacation. The house is located in a older neighborhood but we have lived here for 23 years and never feel unsafe and love being so close to everything West Palm Beach has to offer Some things at the house, was build 1926, are still original, like the wood floors, so doors probably have gaps. Will take the advise about the a patio door haveing a security bar

Great back yard and pool.
House was very clean. Appliances all worked well, plumbing worked well and drained perfectly. Rooms are small but suited our needs just fine. The jewel in the crown is the back yard. It is very large for our kids and granddaughter (who live nearby) to gather around. The pool is nice, the heater was on and the water was warm. There is a large deck area and a very nice propane grill. The second bathroom and laundry are in a separate building by the pool but it actually worked out great having a bathroom near the pool. To have multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and a private pool/yard, it was definitely worth it.

Wonderful Stay!
My husband and I rented the property and was there a little over a month. We could not have asked for anything to be more perfect. The location of the house was great! Close to everything- banks, lots of eating places, beaches and shopping. The pool and the yard at the home is to die for. Silvia, the property manager was wonderful. Great location, great backyard for relaxing!
We really enjoyed our stay at this charming property. Kitchen well stocked, we loved using the grill for seafood purchased from a local seafood market. Everything needed for the beach including beach chairs and umbrella. Pool was very nice and clean, also very convenient to have one of the full baths in the laundry area with close proximity to the pool. So many local restaurants in walking distance. Wrap & Pour was one of our favorites! Relatively quiet neighborhood, convenient to the airport. Very enjoyable all around!

Awesome Get Away
My family and I had such a wonderful time at House Christa. The property is very clean and quiet with all the comforts of home. We all slept very well in the comfortable beds. Silvia is a wonderful hostess, super nice and takes great care of the property. The pool area is like a tropical paradise. The location is also great. We went to a different beach every day just to experience the area. It was great to come back to a private pool / tropical paradise to stay in and grill or go out to dinner and explore the town. I highly recommend Silvia's Vrbo for your next get away. It was a lot of fun!

CHARMING GETAWAY with TROPICAL OASIS
We just returned from a wonderful stay in Sylvia's charming, historic home in West Palm. It is a sweet home with comfortable space, lots of old world charm and features and a spectacular private outdoor area. Sylvia was wonderful from start to finish. She was flexible when I needed to make an adjustment, proactive with reaching out/checking in even offering an extra pool clean up after a storm and terrific communications at the end of our stay. The neighbor is comfortable but transitional. It is right off of S. Dixie Hwy which was great for us with close access to eateries, drug store, Publix, and also just a few blocks to the intercoastal. There is a sweet, friendly older gentleman with a small dog living in a small unit in the rear but he keeps to himself and has no access to the private areas of the property. The bedrooms are small and quaint, living and dining room spacious and a large fully stocked kitchen. There wasn't a single thing she didn't have! There is also a small sun room which doubled as an office for my husband during our extended stay. Mostly central air, updated bathrooms, ceiling fans, and cable TV (not just wifi) made this property very comfortable for us. Come and enjoy this sweet property like we did.

Idyllic Pool - Yard in west palm beach
We enjoyed our 3 weeks in this private well landscaped backyard retreat with heated pool , new grill and ample deck, picnic table. Sylvia is very responsive and provides beach chairs, weekly pool service , well stocked kitchen and laundry facilities. The home is close to palm beach, restaurants and beaches. This is an older home with second bath in pool house. In transitional area. Well secured and very responsive to our needs. We plan to rebook this property soon. We all had a great experience.

Perfect house for us
We stayed at the house January 15-23 2019. We found the house to be the perfect place for us. We had 4 adults and a toddler. The house was clean. The kitchen was nice size for cooking with a dishwasher and large refrigerator. Lots of towels and a washing machine and dryer incase we ran out. Cable tv in the livingroom and in one bedroom. WiFi. The outside inclosed pool area was the best. Plenty of room to move around. Gas grill with utensils. Heated pool was perfect on cooler days. Second bathroom in a building near the pool was perfect when we were outside. Silvia was easy to get ahold of if we had any questions or problems. She also was very nice and left us a high chair, baby monitor, a few toys and a pack and play to use during our visit. If we every travel to the West Palm Beach area again we will be sure to try and stay here.

Our family loved it!! The back yard is just as beautiful as the pictures. Sylvia has everything you need.....just bring the sunblock:) Everything is close....stores, parks and the beach. Thanks for being so accommodating and having such a prepared atmosphere for us all to enjoy.

Utter Relaxation
This was our third visit to Christa House, and once more we had a marvelous visit. We totally relaxed. We spent days at the beach, days at the backyard pool, and hours doing whatever we felt like. Finally, I got caught up with my reading, and we browsed antique stores, and frequented wonderful neighborhood restaurants. Utter bliss!

Nice place to stay.
Silvia met us and answered all of our questions. We forgot to ask about the pool heater but as soon as we found that the pool was very nice also. There was a binder with all kinds of ideas for local things to do too. We would stay here again.
