This is a great place to stay when in Vancouver. Some might say they want to be closer to downtown but we found it very easy to trip down the freeway and across Lion's Gate bridge, which goes through Stanley park and leads you right into the downtown, about 15 minutes. You can easily get to most of the good places-the aquarium, the tower overlooking the city, gastown, and so forth, plus its right next to the ferry to the sunshine coast and easy drive to Capilano and Whistler all of which are the opposite direction from downtown, so this is central from that perspective.
The property itself is a walkout with good window light and you have a private patio and table right outside your door. The interior includes a washer dryer and is very well appointed, very well maintained and has lots of space which was needed as I was travelling with my son and his fiancé (lol). In addition there is lots of privacy and Valerie provides everything one would need in the kitchen and bedrooms, including TV, DVD, and parking, books to read, etc. Lots of tourist info is provided in the suite and you are a block from Blenz coffee and 2 blocks from Starbucks if that appeals, plus 3 or 4 good restaurants and a little convenience store that carries most one would need for making your own meals.
