'The owner had first cut the grass, then made the beds. Gras everywhere. I cleaned the bedroom and kitchen) sitting area before use. It is a nice little man cave, unfit for people allergic to moist surroundings, dogs or tobacco smoke. Quirky us the word I guess. Host is nice.'

'It was our first time trying out a self catering apartment, and we really enjoyed the two nights there. Clean, spacious, it has almost everything you need, except for a laundry machine and shower gel /shampoo. Hazel (the family dog) was super friendly, and the sunset views were ridiculously gorgeous. Applecross is a tad remote, so come prepared with all the food supplies you need. '

'Everything about our stay from booking to departing could not have been better. Our host Katerina was always on hand to provide information updates and accommodate our needs. The cottage was outstanding in every way, well stocked with all the necessary items and some for a self catering stay. The cleanliness was top notch and the refurbishment which has taken place compliments the property so well. 'The location is good, by the river, although it’s next to a 60mph road so cars rushing by are heard throughout the night. On the booking page there were pictures of a fairly new, cute round wooden ‘pod’, which would suit the name Glamping pods as advertised. The pods were actually present on the premises and looked really charming. We were very disappointed to find that our ‘Glamping pod’ was in fact a garden shed with double doors, which stood at an angle, had a weird combination of old beds...

'Ruim, mooi ingericht appartement. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Keuken met alles er op en er aan. Wasmachine, droger, lekkere bedden. Ligging naast winkelcentrum. Op zaterdag wel veel kabaal van uitgaanspubliek.'

'Property was good value, bed very comfortable. Nice warm house. Shared kitchen / livingroom very clean and modern. When I arrived there was mould around base of shower so I put bleach on it and cleaned it, This should have been done by cleaner. The electric shower needs replaced as its intermittent. But at the cost I'd certainly use it again. Fine distance from the town. Oh wifi wasnt really working but that could just be me..'

"The hotel has a good location and decent rooms, but our stay was marred by several issues. Our shower was broken upon arrival, leaving us unable to shower for a full day. We had to build makeshift water barriers with towels to prevent flooding. Service at the front desk was poor. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, and when we asked about it, staff falsely claimed we had declined housekeeping, which we hadn’t. The elevator smelled strongly of vomit throughout our visit and was never addressed. After the shower was finally repaired, no one informed us or followed up, and there was no apology for the inconvenience. The breakfast area often felt unclean — tables were sticky, and between 8:00 and 9:00 it got overcrowded quickly, with food items running out fast."

"Beautiful hotel on the ground floor, lots of space to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff. The hotel has a lot of charm. However, the room is very basic and misses any charm, the mattress is old and uncomfortable and outdated bathroom. Breakfast was also very basic."
