We book the accommodation as i was the photographer covering the Weston-super-Mare Beach race and this was the perfect location for us . Excellent service and we will be booking there for the next one in 2024

Inside hotel was clean and modern, although bedding had a stale smell. Breakfast was good. However, access to car park round the back is extremely narrow, and car park itself is very small. No nearby on street parking. We booked this hotel as a king sized bed was advertised. But our bed was definitely not. Maybe a double.

Hello Nichollas, thanks you for choosing to stay at Oakover and for taking the time to review your stay. The Room you booked (Room 4) is advertised & described as a 'Double Room with Ensuite". We do have one Kingsize room (Room 1 on the ground floor) but this was not the room that you booked. I apologise if the bedding smelt stale, all our bedding is freshly washed and sprayed with a little fabreze after making the bed, so I'm surprised that you found it this way. Regarding the car park, we offer free parking and clearly state that the entrance is narrow, however it is wide enough to accommodate a range rover, so smaller cars should not be an issue if you drive carefully. For anyone not comfortable using our free on-site car park, there is plenty of free of on-road parking just outside.

Nice place to stay food excellent. Would be nice with a lower tog on bed when temperature high does have fan in rooms thou. Parking tight for large cars driving to car park.

Homely place
We had a really good stay at the property, it was very clean and really spacious, modern and near to the town centre and beach with a luvley promenade, simon who runs the property was very nice and helpful,the breakfast was really nice and plenty to choose from,would definitely stay again.

Close enough to town. Not liking parking though, bit tight to wall. Our room was ok in need of a lick of paint. Replace window as letting in water. (Seal gone). Friendly reception.

Hi Lynne, thank you for staying at Oakover & we appreciate your kind feedback. The window has been replaced yesterday, it was on order but we had a 3 week wait for it to arrive! Not too sure what you mean by 'a lick of paint' as the room you stayed in is nicely wallpapered!

Relaxing break at Weston
Just what was needed to relax for a couple of days, visit sites around Weston and close enough to walk to the town centre for evening meals if you wanted. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and the well organised breakfasts were a great start to the day.

Ideally situated in Weston. Very close to beach with restaurants and town all in easy walking distance. Pub opposite.

You can see why this guest house has 4stars. They have put a lot of thought into providing everything you could need, everything is sparkling clean and the breakfast was second to none.

My personal review
My opinion having stayed for three nights. Friendly warm welcome. Hotel clean, room very spacious compared to others we stayed at. Large bathroom complete with corner bath with shower incorporated over bath. Room location at rear of property so was very quiet. Facilities good to include mini fridge, fan and iron & ironing board. Breakfast all freshly cooked to order from a extension menu. Nothing seemed to much trouble. Would definitely stay again and would recommend it.

Lovely, clean, so close to the beach
We quite liked the Oakover, as it was very fresh and spotlessly clean. My friend couldn't find a shaver point in the bathroom and was disappointed by that, but otherwise things were tip top. One thing to consider when you visit: The car park is accessed by a very narrow alleyway! If your car is large, perhaps it's worth discussing with the owners to see if they'll reserve the single space in front.

By far the best .
Definitely the best B&B I have stayed at . Very COVID safety conscious , Simon and his team always available .room spotlessly cleaned. Bed so comfortable we both spelt better than on our new one at home . Breakfast choice also excellent our only complaint was that we had to leave. Location also great just off the promenade. The staff here could teach the hotels some good lessons in personal service and standards. I highly recommend staying here.

A must stay B & B
Simon and Ann where the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and even the towels and bedding had an amazing fresh smell. The breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice and well cooked. In things put in place in the breakfast room regarding covid where spot on. Definitely worth a repeat stay.

Me and my other half stayed at this hotel and I have to say it is one of the best we have stayed in the owners was amazing and great to talk to and the breakfast was great the room was great the bed was comfortable over all It is a great stay :) :)

Fabulous guest house
Booked this after premier inn cancelled our booking. Fabulous little guest house in a quiet location, visited during Covid 19 so you have to choose a 1/2 hour slot for breakfast, the food is really good quality and lots of choice. Simon & Ann are a lovely couple and can't do enough for you, stayed in the cheapest room and although it was compact there was enough room for a 3 night stay, the car park is round the back and you have to navigate through a narrow gap at the side of the property, we struggled with a focus so any bigger and you might not fit. Would happily stay here again next time we visit Weston-Super-Mare

Brilliant location for the weston beach race, beautiful building to look at. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Rooms where of a good size, bed was very comfy. Bathroom was clean and had a good size shower/bath. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection. Staff where all very friendly and welcoming.

Ideal spot just a short walk to the beach/shops. Parked the car up and that is where it stayed all week. Double glazed windows stopped the sound of the gulls when the window was shut.
