Ina was a lovely host. The house is beautiful, and the shower much appreciated after a long day. Sheep grazing out the window, home-baked scones for breakfast. Just lovely.

Stayed at Lurgan house before excellent then still high standards now. Arrived in the afternoon Ina dropped us into town could have walked in its about 25 mins but there were heavy showers falling. Beautiful breakfast . Would highly recommend. Maura Willie

Ideally located for exploring the West Coast.
We had a nice couple of nights at Lurgan House. The property is not too far from the town. Friendly welcome and good breakfast.

A friendly and comfortable B&B in Westport.
A wonderful experience in a very comfortable, friendly and quiet B&B. It was a lovely two nights, with an easy walk into Westport for dinner. The breakfast was comprehensive with a range of options cooked fresh daily. The scones were exceptional, don’t forget to ask for them when you stay! The owners Ena and Gerard couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. They checked in with us regularly, offering suggestions on sites to visit, restaurants and other destinations. Our experience was excellent and we would strongly recommend Lurgan House.

Great stay.
The Lurgan B&B was excellent. Ena, the host, was charming and helpful. The room was large, the bed comfortable and breakfast excellent. I would heartily recommend. Only point to note that the B&B is located approx 15 minutes walk away from downtown. It was not an issue for us - we walked home late at night without any issue.

100 euros was an exceptionnal price according to hotels.com. After one week in Ireland, this B&B is quite expensive to what we had. They formerly gave us a room but the separate bathroom not en suite. Besides, we were hardly welcomed with basic info. Third, we had gastric problems after a average full irish breakfast. Be aware...

Comfortable stay in rural area
Lurgan House Westport is a place you would be more than happy to return to. A very hospitable check in, with coffee and apple tart. We were shown to our room which was large and bright. The shower room is small. A comfy chair in the room would be a welcome addition. The TV and tea making facility are good. Breakfast was excellent. The parking area is good. We found the stairs steep so if returning would request the downstairs bed room.

A wonderful place to stay near Westport
Our stay at Lurgan house was fantastic. We wish we had booked for longer. The home was beautiful and had so much character. Our room was clean and comfy. We enjoyed the view of the sheep across the road and the easy walk to get into town. Our hostess was very friendly and sweet. We couldn't have asked for better.

Absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful country home along the River Boyne, a short drive to the town of Trim and an hour or so from Dublin. A long drive in from the main road is an 18th century home in beautiful condition with gardens, fields and farm animals around. Our room was immaculate, our breakfast was wonderful and our hosts were gracious and friendly. Wish we'd have stayed longer in this lovely spot.

Absolutely Fabulous!!
Of all the hotels, I stayed at while I was in Ireland, this was heads and shoulders above the rest. If I could give it a 7, I would. Christina and Gerald were spectacular. In fact, I felt like I was staying with long lost friends. They were friendly and helpful, even offering to drive me to Castlebar one morning to help me obtain my grandfather’s birth certificate. Located off the road, it was totally quiet. The layout of their house was spectacular for having a B&B. They had a nice ‘lounge’ area for sitting, chatting, and having a cup of tea. Christina’s breakfast was lovely. The room was spacious, the view being excellent, and met all my needs. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the center of town. Once you learn the ropes, it’s quite easy and takes you through down a beautiful walking path.

Wonderful Place, Wonderful Hosts
A clean, comfortable, quiet B&B that’s close to Westport town as well as the official Greenway parking lot. Great, comfy bed. Great selection of cereal and fresh fruit for breakfast but Ena cooked me up the full Irish breakfast which was delicious and set me up to climb Croagh Patrick; her husband even loaned me a climbing stick to take up the mountain. Wonderful warm hosts. I really enjoyed my stay here. Would re-book in a heartbeat.
