Deze twee slaapkamers Westport uitje biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de noordelijke kust van Californië en een grillige strandhuis interieur voor maximaal vier gasten!

De locatie ligt direct aan het kapen en kan niet kloppen voor het is uitzicht op de rotsachtige kustlijn. Je zult vele paden naar het strand te vinden op korte loopafstand en de grotere steden zoals Fort Bragg en Mendocino zijn slechts 16 en 26 mijl van uw deur, respectievelijk.

De huiselijke interieur is voorzien van hardhouten vloeren, houten lambrisering, grote ramen, en decoratieve accenten overal. Er is een houtkachel, een tv en een dvd-speler. Let op, er is hier "slechts een beperkte openbare" internet- en celservice.

Je vindt hier een volledige keuken voor het bereiden van vakantie maaltijden, een eettafel, en meer maaltijd zitplaatsen buiten op het glorieuze dek met een gas grill hebben. Andere faciliteiten om uw verblijf geweldig te maken, zoals een wasmachine / droger en een cd-speler voor het afspelen van uw vakantie soundtrack. Er zijn ook een-en-een-half badkamers.

We stay at CH as a simple getaway before Christmas (coming from Bay Area). We had a relaxing time watching the waves crash from the warmth of the living room. We also spent a good amount of time just hanging out at the house playing board games. It really was a great place to unplug. Kids also enjoyed walking down to the headlands where they played with the sand and explored tidepools. There is a long flight of stairs to the beach though so just a warning. Only knock on the house is a little secluded in Westport so have to drive at least 30 mins to big cities with restaurants. But this wasn't a problem for us. We brought simple items from Trader Joe's and was able to cook ourselves. I think if you go in the summer, there are some restaurants in town that's open. Outside the house and the outdoor furniture could use a little TLC but the inside was perfectly clean to allow for relaxation. It's also great that this is NOT a pet friendly place as my kids are highly allergic. I didn't have to worry about them rolling on the floor and touching things. Beds were also comfortable (aka semi-firm) so we were able to rest well. We truly enjoyed out stay at Contemplation Haven and look forward to coming back! Thanks for hosting us!

We were two couples getting away for the NYE weekend. We had all we needed (with one exception) for a wonderful stay; fully capable kitchen, tastefully decorated, cozy, charming and quirky! We loved our stay except while trying to sleep. Investment in new bedding and mattresses is sorely (pun intended) needed. Otherwise a fabulous stay with no complaints.

This beautiful house has a lovely view of the ocean. A small beach is a five-minute walk. Sparkling clean, we recommend this property enthusiastically. You do need to be ready to drive for 20+ minutes to get to restaurants in Fort Bragg. The drive is gorgeous, but requires your full attention around sharp curves.

We stayed at Contemplation Haven to attend a wedding celebration at the Switzer Farm just down the road. Leading busy work-filled lives, the CH home provided us the quiet rest we really needed in between ceremony events. We even found ourselves leaving early to come back and listen to the rolling waves in the peacefulness of the home. Thank you so much. Loved all of the pictures, amenities and comfort of a well taken care of home. :)

Excited to stay. Was there in August and loved the home, clean tidy and beautiful views. Got to Westport and walked in, the floor was obviously dirty a quick sweep at best, dirt all around the carpet edges and under. Toilet tissue in sink in lower bath, toilet tissue and obvious feces in upstairs toilet. Sink did not look clean. No hand towel, found a bath towel and hung it up for use. The master bedroom had a small red and white dish left on the bedside table and the sheets- looked maybe clean but it looked to both of us that someone had slept on top of the quilt then straightened. I was uncomfortable the entire time, was the bed clean, were the pillowcases clean? Didn’t feel like it was. Called Vacasa and they sent out a housekeeper from Fort Bragg- she cleaned the bathrooms and swept. Disappointed beyond disappointed- especially for the price. Will look for other rentals elsewhere.

We enjoyed the stay immensely. The house was extremely clean, the kitchen was very well stocked if you are one who likes to cook, the bedding and towels were very clean. The main bed is a queen, wished it could be a king. The location is extremely secluded however there is a mini mart across the street, actually is a historical store and I recommend checking it out. You have a chance to see whales in the distance and hear sea lions and see all kinds of birds flying around. We will be coming back.

This is a beautiful property. We had a great time. We came there for a wedding at Switzer Farms. The blinds were very tacky and did not work well and not in good repair. A number of light fixtures in the bedroom with twin beds and in the kitchen did not have any lightbulbs in them. Refrigerator freezer was leaking water onto the floor. The kitchen sink had a motion sensitive device to turn it on which was ridiculous and unnecessary. The TV only had Netflix and we couldn’t seem to figure out how to use broadcast TV it was very confusing. We couldn’t find any directions and how do use the TV. We thought it was terribly overpriced and the fee for Vrbo was exorbitant. almost $2000 for five nights Was Way over priced it was probably worth about half of that. The next time I rent a VRBO I’m going to avoid Vacasa because I just think their money grubbers. The hot tub did not work. And this property is not a good value. I’ve read other reviews of Vacasa and they are not favorable. In general I don’t like Vrbo because their fees are too high.

The home was as advertised. The location is beautiful, slightly off the normal tourist route to Mendocino and Fort Bragg but worth the extra miles. It was stocked with the usual kitchen and bath items. Bring your own knives. The unit needs a bit of TLC but overall or stay was comfortable very pleasant. Only real complaint would be the bed in the master. (Hard as a rock) and that comes from someone who likes a stiff mattress.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights the end of July. We completely enjoyed ourselves. We wanted a secluded place away from the crowds, we really needed a break away from people. The home was wonderful and had everything we needed. We stopped at Fort Bragg on our way in and got groceries for the week. The only negative for us was that the master bed was a little firm for our liking, so the last night we slept in the other bedroom. It was foggy the whole time we were there and quite disappointed we didn't get to see the stars at night, it would have been a great place for star gazing. We really enjoyed our experience and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Just got back from our week's stay. What a beautiful location and setting. We really enjoyed the ocean views from each deck, the living room and dining room. This property borders the public park, so people occasionally would walk through the view, but it was never a bother. Sometimes they'd look up and wave, which was nice. Close to the cliffs are two picnic tables, which we made use of to bring our plates of food or coffee to, or just to eat some fruit down there. When you're at the picnic tables, it is like being on a cruise and looking out toward the vast ocean. With perfect weather all week, it was simply majestic. The park area and along the house fence are blackberry bushes for days. We picked a bunch and made a simple bisquick cobbler in the cast iron pan. We got vanilla ice cream from the little store across the street, and the two together were off the hook. So yummy! I give 5+ stars for scenery, location and environment. The house itself I would give 4.5 stars. Upon arrival, it did not look like the floors and carpets had been swept/vacuumed well. I did a sweep of the floor and that piled into a bit. However, the dishes, bathrooms, counters and upstairs were all clean. A couple of things that I'd wished the house had were: a dish brush, two instead of one sponge (one for counters, one for washing dishes), a few more kitchen towels, and some baking sheets and pans. I would have liked a third bathmat for in front of the bathtub, but we made do. Compared to other places we've stayed at, I appreciated extra toilet paper since we were there a week (the last place we had to go out and buy some! This time I brought some just in case), quality towels that were also clean as were the sheets, pillows and blankets. The beds could have been a little better quality. Although we slept well enough, none of us were fans of the beds. I also appreciate that dishwasher pods and laundry pods were provided. It made using the house much more enjoyable. There were also extra garbage bags (the last place did not provide any extra) and paper towels. The house is laid out well to take advantage of ocean views, and we really enjoyed that. Internet had a little trouble keeping up with us, but it wasn't horrible. Overall, this place is worth staying at, and we plan to go back again.

It was a lovey home, a little too cluttered, beautiful location. We had an issue with a stuffed up shower drain which backed up into the tub. We had to semi fix the problems ourselves because we were told there was no access to a plumber on the weekends, which doesn't make sense since most rentals happen on the weekends. Someone came to help and said they pulled out a little bit of hair. There was no offer of a drain unclogger or anything else. We bought Draino and worked it with hot water we boiled, used the plunger, and bought bleach to disinfect the tub which backed up, so that we could take showers. It was very frustrating and put a damper on our time. Other than that, we enjoyed the deck upstairs and the easy access to the beach and trails. The windows in the house are INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Thank you so very much for your beautiful home.
