Beautiful location. We watched whales from the balcony, deer cross the yard, sea lions playing in the waves. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of spaces to relax with a book or laptop. The kitchen was as easy to use and had just about everything we needed to except for a spatula, foil, and plastic wrap. The house is currently listed for sale and it’s in need of a lot of repairs. All of the carpets are stained, screen doors are broken and sliding doors don’t work properly. There are window blinds missing from the living room and small holes (from past lighting structures?) in the ceiling. There are scratches, dents, and stains on the walls throughout the house. The toilet paper holder spins in circles causing the toilet paper to fall to the floor anytime you attempt to use it. Overall, the condition of the home is worn and did not meet my expectations for the price per night I paid to stay there. Upon arrival the main floor toilet was clogged and I spent 30 minutes plunging it. The home needs to be deep cleaned. We ended up wiping out the cupboards because they were covered in crumbs and dust, we also washed dishes before using them because they did not appear to be properly cleaned. There was a bar of used soap in the upstairs shower and we had to clean soap scum from the downstairs tub before using it. A lot of items are janky and need to be fixed or replaced.I was told I’d receive a refund on the cleaning fee but have yet to receive it.
