Telefoondienst en internet
Omdat dit een berg is, is de mobiele telefoonservice in de regio onregelmatig. Wifi is alleen beschikbaar als hoge snelheid DSL. Het bezit is van een stad gehandhaafde landweg en heeft een vuil privé oprijlaan. Terwijl de stad en wij er alles aan doen om het in de winter geploegd, geschuurd en gezouten te houden, zijn sneeuwwinden vaak voorkomend en kunnen snel de rit en de weg afdekken waardoor ze glad worden. Het gebruik van ten minste één voertuig met vierwielaandrijving wordt aanbevolen. Auto's kunnen op de top van de weg worden geparkeerd en u kunt zo nodig de korte privé-rit naar boven brengen.

Schoonmaakkosten
Er worden schoonmaakkosten in rekening gebracht voor 6-7 uur algemene schoonmaak en wasserij. Tijd die dat tarief overschrijdt, wordt gefactureerd tegen $ 50 per uur. Het volgen van de kassaprocedures zorgt er in het algemeen voor dat dit niet gebeurt, maar geen garantie is. Dit zijn geen huishoudelijke kosten en we vragen u om ons huis te respecteren door de huisregels en procedures te volgen, zodat we allemaal van uw verblijf kunnen genieten.

Great Get-Away

Our kids and grandkids all meet up with us each February to ski Gore Mt. The cabin was perfect. The kids declared the hosts “so generous!!” as they leave snacks and a hot cocoa bar. The owner was accessible and responsive. Our poodles were welcome and we did not have to worry about their safety as we were waaaay off the beaten path!

The house was excellent. I had 7 adults 23-57. 2 kids and a black lab. The sleeping arrangements were perfect! Comfortable -and the great room was a great place to settle after a day of skiing. Gale is a great host -she check on me via text upon arrival. The property is amazing -we will be back.

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin by Gore Mountain! The place was clean and offered the perfect sense of seclusion we were looking for. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was, making our time there even more enjoyable. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to whip up meals together. A Spectacular Experience!

Our family came to the Adirondacks to experience the 2024 eclipse. This top notch home made our weekend amazing. The amenities are terrific; everything that we needed was at our fingertips. Stunning getaway in the ADK

The home and property are absolutely fantastic! We decided to take a very quick, last minute trip consisting of 3 adults and 10 children. So thankful to have decided on this property! Beautiful view of the mountains; the house is a *perfect* mountain home with enough space for a small crowd & has all the things you need to carry on as if you were at home 💗; even the road is a refreshing getaway itself...I could go on and on about how wonderful it was! On top of that, Gale was a terrific host and an excellent communicator! Would highly recommend staying at this stunning getaway!

Our ski group had a great stay at Gale and Tom’s property! Conveniently located to Gore Mountain, local restaurants. Great spot for family retreat

We gathered at the lodge to celebrate Easter. Even though we had some chilly weather and flurries, the lodge was a great base for all our adventures and we were able to come home and warm up in front of the hearth. Plenty of space indoors and out for kids to play.

Great lodge-type house very convenient to Gore, just a couple minute drive to Gore. Modern interior, great living area with big windows and a view of Gore Peak! Everything you need. Unless you want the Ritz-Carlton, you will find it hard to find anything to complain about here. Very close to Gas / convenience and Basil and Wick's restaurant. Wi-Fi not the greatest but hey, you are in the mountains, and are supposed to be skiing anyway. Also, bring your 4 wheel or all wheel drive for the driveway in the winter. Other than that this place is awesome, hope to be back. Owner great to work with and helpful.

Family get together

My family from Ottawa Canada and New York city met at the Cottage. Had lots of rooms with 3 bathrooms and a huge kitchen. One rainy day we watch movie with my 5 Grandkids. We went to 6 Flags park and had a Blast. Then we went to 2 different beaches and had a great time in the water and just having fun with our family. This cottage is a great place in the woods. Had a great fire pit so at night we sat around telling jokes and stories. Highly recommend this cottage for a big family. Lots of space and beds. The housekeeping was great when we came I n. Awesome cabin, very clean with modern amenities

It was the perfect cabin for our group of 11. We really enjoyed our stay in this home. It has a good mix of Adirondack style with modern amenities. Spacious, Clean, Luxurious Adirondack Home close to Family Ski Resport

Three families shared this beautiful Adirondack home over part of the President's Day weekend. We found the home clean, spacious and well stocked. Gore Mountain is only a few miles away, and one ski run is even visible from the living room window!!! We found the ski resort very family-friendly and our children had a wonderful time. Grocery Store and wine store are about 1 mile away also !!! We are from Canada, and the yard was large enough, and snow plentiful enough, for them to leave behind a self-constructed igloo. The home is beautifully nestled in the woods. Gale and Tom were wonderful to work with and responded to our every need and questions in a timely manner. Beds were comfortable save two of the 4 single beds in the upstairs loft area. Sufficient bathroom and bedroom space as well as spacious garage to use. Our mini van was unable to make it up the hill one of the days due to freezing rain, however, we were able to manage easily, as there is also parking half way up the driveway closer to the bottom of the hill. We would absolutely consider returning to this rental property (VRBO).
