This hotel desperately needs serious investment. Everywhere you look you find chipped paint, scuffed stained surfaces and chipped tiles. The bathroom in our room was disgusting - we couldn't face using it for a shower. On the flip side the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Dear Hotels.com, First of all, I would like to direct this message directly to hotels.com and not Hotel prince regent, as you know Hotel prince regent did give me a refund for misleading information by Hotels.com. As you can see on the booking, it does not state continental breakfast. It clearly only says breakfast included. I have never seen any website saying cooked and uncooked breakfast??? As you said in the email below, the money was refunded however you failed to see the point. I booked this holiday back in April to bring my mum who was in her old age. I didn't book this holiday and travel 4 hours by car to get a refund. Am I stupid to go all the way to Weymouth to get a refund? I brought my mum who was 76 and it was huge disappointment to her. You think once you refunded 30 pounds the problem is resolved. It is not about the money but disappointment, dissatisfaction and misleading information posted on Hotels.com website. It is very deceiving information. The hotel receptionist told me many customers who booked vis hotels.com were disappointed when they came to check-in. So, I am not the only victim but many others too. I want you to remove this misleading information as soon as possible from the website and do not do this to your customers again. Sherine Joseph

Free carpark at rear, caused damage to my car due to damage kerb stones on entry to carpark. Hotel very dated and requires updates and some paint in places. Lots of road noise ,continually through out the day and night.

We my son and I arrived on the due date the check in was ok and given a sea view room. However, I booked a twin room only to find a double bed so I went back to reception and was told to split the beds as there was no house keeping. I politely asked for extra bedding and the receptionist looked confused and asked why. Trying to tell someone you need to make two beds out of one shouldn’t be difficult but it was. Whilst splitting the bed we noticed blood on one of the pillows. Because we booked online we could only have breakfast in our room. I’m no snob but I have never eaten cereal in a box that you pour milk into and eat with a wooden spoon. I feel for £149 per room for the night was a total rip off

Read the small print!
Pretty average place charging more than they ought to. Beware of " breakfast included" - you will get a croissant, packet of cereal and banana left at your doorstep. This is " because of covid restrictions". For the money, least they can do is provide that as a courtesy free of charge. Insulting really.

Beautiful views
Friendly hotel. Beautiful sea view from my room. Very convenient for beach and town (10-15 min walk). Mainly coach trip guests but perfectly fine for a solo/family short break. Good COVID-19 hygiene.

I stay in weymouth once a month for work. This hotel was the worst i have stayed in. Rooms were older than my mum and dad, if you own anything bigger than a nissan micra good luck in getting in the car park. No shower curtain so water was all over the bathroom floor. Handles missing off draws. No what i expcet for a £115 a night room. Will never nook there again.

On arrival our room had bad water damage from the rain that day so we couldn’t access the room until after 8pm! Apparently there was more than 10 rooms effected? And it smelt badly of damp! I would have thought they could have fixed this issue when they were in lockdown but probably don’t want to spend the money! So just keep hiring the rooms out when they are not in a good state! The room was so old and in need of refurbishment like the rest of the hotel, the photos online show it as being nice but don’t be fooled! The wallpaper in our room and the bathroom was peeling off! It wasn’t very clean as there was dust and dirt everywhere, on the skirtings, tv, ledges and around the bathroom edges. The bathroom shower curtain and soap dispenser fell down, the handles on the bath we’re rusty and unstable plus the water coming out the bath tap was so fierce and then it wouldn’t drain in the bath so we were standing in water when showering. The carpet looked in need of a good clean. We wouldn’t stay there again but the older generation seemed to like it as it was full of older people who obviously don’t like changes! They had entertainment in the bar at night which was nice to have something to do but some of the singers were so bad it was like karaoke!! It was like bring your son and daughter to work week because they are off from school so let’s get singing to earn their keep?! The bar ran out of crisps one night and we only brought 4 packets! Glad we only stayed 4 nights!

Very disappointed with the overall standards, I would never class as a four class Hotel (I’ve been to better with lower stars) - the room was dirty and moldy.the rate they charged was way to expensive for what they are offering.

Not worth the money we paid to stay there one night. Needs a lot of updating , very tired and old fashioned. Room was large , but the sheets on the bed had stains on them, so unpleasant. Would not go back.

We stayed in Aug 2020 for two nights. The hotel is central which is great and it is by the seafront which is lovely. The staff are really helpful but the bedrooms/ showers really need refurbishing. Although we didn't spend that much time in room. The high chair we requested was dirty on both mornings 😔. Car park wasn't great and left my car in it once but if I knew thats how the car park was I would have left my car on the meter. I understand especially during this pandemic they are busy and working under a different pressure so I really don't want to be mean and like I previously mentioned staff are really helpful! And depsite the need to modernise there is a nice atmosphere.

It was very pretty in the wesite pictures but when we got there we were shocked. The rooms were very dated, very old style. Shower was terrible, water was dripping and cannot have proper shower. I complained but no action taken by the hotel. I was very disappointed with the room. however the hotel was in front of the sea that was the advantage.

It was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The rooms were in a poor state (I had mold in my bathroom), the main restaurant had zero social distancing and my nieces room was not cleaned when she checked in and it took us two days of requests and complaints to just get the filthy sheets changed on her bed.

The staff are very friendly, the hotel manager very good. We paid for bed & breakfast but our confirmation only stated bed. The hotel Manager was very good & included the breakfast. He stated this was the third time this had happened with Expedia getting customers booking wrong. While checking in there was another couple also In The same situation. The hotel is extremely shabby needs refurbishment. I don’t know how hotels ate graded but this is not worth 3 stars. The furniture in the bedroom tatty, chair seen better days, the bed (Mattress) needed replacing. We changed rooms which had been redecorated & was lovely, but the furniture was still shabby with table & dressing table scratched. There was a storm through the night & the old sash cord windows (which again desperately need replacing not repainting) rattled through out the night, I woke several times with the noise. If staying be prepared to hand over your car keys to reception so they can move cars around to let customers who are blocked in out& try create more space. Spaces very limited if all spaces gone you will have to park on the promenade & pay.

great stay Good location for families
Great hotel perfectly located. Only real problem I think where improvement could be made would definitely be the parking as seems to be no real structure and cars can be parked 3 wide and 3 deep with so if your at the front like we were the hotel staff were trying to ring visitors to ask them to return to move their cars to allow us to leave. To be fair this could have been avoided if hotel guest had left there car keys with hotel as instructed and not simply gone off with them.
