The hotel’s location is great—it's close to downtown, where many of the restaurants are, and it’s right along the river, which was a nice bonus.
However, the pictures on the website make the property look more updated than it actually is. The pool and hot tub area need both cleaning and maintenance. The walls of the hot tub were flaking, and there was a noticeable amount of debris and dead bugs at the bottom.
Unfortunately, the room also wasn’t cleaned properly. There was dirt piled up in the corner of the bathroom, random hairs in the shower, and a stain on the top bed cover. While it’s possible the room was cleaner than it appeared, it felt dingy overall, which contributed to the impression that it wasn’t very clean.
The breakfast had potential, but it seemed like the staff may have been short-handed. There appeared to be only one person handling everything—restocking food, clearing tables, and washing dishes. When we arrived, there were no clean plates, no eggs available, undercooked hash browns, and most of the table tops were dirty. We ended up going out to buy breakfast instead.
On a positive note, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful during both check-in and check-out. The hotel has the potential to be a nice place to stay, but it could benefit from some updates and improved upkeep.
