'This is an old-fashioned motel with some limitations — no elevator, small bathrooms, etc. But it is the cleanest place I have ever stayed, has been updated over time, has comfortable beds, offers a good breakfast, and enjoys a nice location next to a stream with outdoor seating. The only real drawback to our stay was an overly noisy air conditioner.'

Personnel was a little pushy to write a review, but this good review is well deserved. They provided also multiple free bottles of water and after my hike they allowed me to still use their restroom even though I already checked out. Multiple nice hikes and views in the environment!'

'This is a lovely Inn that is as charming as its setting. An unexpected pleasure was the delicious food. I loved that you pick your breakfast time and food choice the day before. My only regret was not staying long enough to have each of the breakfast offerings. An added delight was dinner at the Inn. Definitely a 5 star experience. We ate there two nights - each meal choice was superb. Service matched the taste. An overall delightful experience, well worth the cost. I'm still dreaming about...
'South Shire is a beautiful place filled with history and character. The staff were wonderful; kind and attentive. They were welcoming to us and our pup throughout the stay. We were very happy with the quality of the mattress and linens as well as the ac being nice and cold on a very hot day (not always things you find in an older bed and breakfast.)
