'It was just an overnight for a long road trip, but the hotel was extremely clean with a friendly staff. My only criticism is that the bedding had a weird smell. Could not figure out why. It was only one night and by the time I got in bed it was very late so I just dealt with it.'

'There was nothing I didn't like while staying at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Smithfield Selma. This was my second stay at this location and I plan on repeatedly staying there on all my future trips to the area. The staff were so cordial and friendly, and they even remembered that I had stayed there before. Again, there is nothing that I didn't like about my stay there.'

'Clean and spacious room. Hotel is very nice. Breakfast is not so good. Dried meats, very watery oatmeal, cold French toast, waffle mix tasted nasty. Breakfast gets 1 star because coffee was semi drinkable otherwise it would’ve been a 0'

'Hotel is al wat ouder maar is netjes. Stoel was stuk dus konden we niet zitten in de kamer. Was ook geen andere stoel te krijgen. Waren er maar 1 dag dus nietvecht een probleem. Ontbijt was prima'

'The hotel is undergoing a renovation which we did not know about. There was dumpsters and containers all over the front entrance, boxes, carpet, flooring stacked in the dining room and lobby, Sheetrock debris all over the elevator and piles of old lamps and doors in the hall. The pool was closed. The exercise equipment was so old and making noises it shouldn’t. The beds are incredibly firm. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.'

'Overall dirty. Hair in the tub. Bed was made with some one's dirty sweat pants that was there before us. No breakfast, there was some bagels and toast that looked like it was left from the prior day. New employees were very nice at check-in and check out.'
