Karakteristiek huis met 3 verdiepingen

Gemeubileerd huis gelegen in Scotia Heights, 5 km. of 15 min. rijden van / naar Downtown. Veilige en mooie buurt in de schaduw van grote bomen. Toegang vanaf straat of achterstrook. Parkeren voor drie auto's. Rustige en vriendelijke buren. Boodschappen op loopafstand (2 stadsblokken, 1 grote supermarkt en 1 winkel, 7/11, apotheek). Fietspad langs de fiets naar twee stadsparken met openbaar buitenzwembad en naar het centrum, (15-20 min. Rijden).
Binnen recent gerenoveerd van plafond tot vloer. Wasserette op de eerste verdieping. Keuken heeft alles om te ontbijten en te koken op vrij nieuwe apparaten. AC op beide verdiepingen. Beddengoed en handdoeken voor maximaal 10 personen. 4 slaapkamers op de tweede verdieping. Leren bank en love seat in de woonkamer. Bedden: 1 koningin, 1 dubbel, 2 tweelingen, 1 futon, 1 kinderbed, 1 dbl luchtbed van bedhoogte.
Heet water is heet genoeg. Sanitair bijgewerkt: geen roestig water, loopt goed af. Gratis wifi. Extra artikelen op aanvraag beschikbaar.
De bescheiden kortharige kat Gopher van de familie woont in de kelder, heeft eigen voorzieningen en een aparte ingang buiten voor het bewaken van wandelingen. Zijn toegang tot huurruimte bestuurd door kelderdeur. Hij gaat regelmatig naar de dierenarts en krijgt tweewekelijks bontonderhoud. Kattenliefhebbers kunnen genieten van zijn gezelschap (hij houdt van mensen), anderen kunnen de deur dichthouden met kennisgeving aan de eigenaar.

This is a fantastic older house with lots of character. When you are driving north on Main Street you might get nervous at the individuals outside on the street but don't worry where the house is a quiet street. Very clean house with an adorable cat Gopher who loves people and treats. Highly recommended

What a nice property! The beds were comfortable. The house is spacious and was stocked with everything we needed. A big bonus is the washer & dryer that is available for use. I loved the deck as well. The cat is ADORABLE! We will definitely be stayed here again!!

My 3 granddaughters,ages 17-26, and I totally enjoyed the fact we each had our own rooms and great gathering/play space. We were so happy a deck of cards were there and we had such fun! The parking was a bit of a challenge but luckily my granddaughters are adept at figuring out workable solutions. Since I'm on a fixed budget and they are college students, the price was right for our budget. The host has a great sense of humor judging by his clever labeling, even trees got special attention. Thanks Tony, a delightful 3 days!

Historic house with many neat features, fairly well maintained. Stairs to second floor where rooms are could be a challenge if mobility issues. Kitchen well stocked, as well as bathrooms and laundry room. Front and back yards are fenced but could not let my young dog unleashed as to many hazards. Very nice neighborhood with mature trees and streets to walk. Parking at the door. Host is A+ with communication.

Got a Cozy Room

We just stayed at this place to sleep for 2 nights, and I can say that the room where we spent our nights was very cozy! Thumbs up for that! The only downside, I guess, was the bathroom shower, it was difficult to balance the hot and cold water or I should say you cannot balance it at all. So, I'm rating this 4 out of 5 stars!

Cool house!

Great house with lots of charm in a good section of town. Stayed this past weekend and there was extreme cold warnings, but the house was warm and cozy with the fireplace. One side note: if you are allergic to cats, this is not a place for you. Gopher the cat, is cute and likes people and has free roam of the house. When I read reviews I thought it was just an outside cat.

Quiet Refuge

We found the house warm with the fireplace. All the mirrors made the spaces seem even bigger, and the style of the marbled and mirrored bathroom was so nice! I loved the cabin-like room upstairs with the windows all around and the wooden ceiling and walls.

Gorgeous Heritage Home

I stayed for a couple of weeks and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable and the the house was warm for the season. I will return if I'm able. My little dog needed to be carried up and down the stairs but that was a minor concern since he only weighs 11 pounds.

Beautiful Historic Home

It was gorgeous from the moment you stepped up to the gate. Communication with the Owner was very easy. Tony attended to a problem with the TV the very day it occurred. The bed was comfortable (I only slept in the Master room). Having the cupboards stocked with so many dry goods and spices was very helpful.

Our stay was very pleasant. The house is older, but roomy and comfortable. There is a friendly cat on the property and he has a cat door so you may catch a glimpse. The kitchen was stocked adequately with utensils, plates, etc. There is a very nice outdoor deck to relax on.

We loved our stay at this property. The home was clean and well maintained as well as beautiful. The location made it easy to travel around the city. Both our host and resident cat were very welcoming. It would be at the top of our list if/when we book another trip to the city.

Feels like home!

Tony is an outstanding host. House has a ton of space and is absolutely a gorgeous character home. Having access to a BBQ, dishwasher, and laundry was huge for us. We were traveling with an infant and it was a big bonus to have access to a playpen too. Gopher is the absolute best, he’s so friendly and chatty but also will stay out of your way - it felt so good to have a friendly cat around as we were missing our own. Some considerations if you’re thinking about visiting this property… If you’ve never been to this part of Winnipeg before - the neighbourhood is gorgeous, safe and friendly but to get to the property you may have to go down a rougher part of Main. We didn’t bring outlet covers with us - those traveling with young children may wish to do so. There were some toys around and colouring pages too! You’re staying in a home - we didn’t expect to have so many amazing things waiting for us and we were so grateful. Some spices, pots pans and plates, BBQ utensils, etc. Lots of towels and linens for our crew of 5 (4 adults, 1 infant). Don’t expect hotel quality as you’re staying in a home :) we appreciated it all. Had a great lived in, welcoming feel - like visiting at a relatives home. The AC was awesome and kept us cool in 40c weather - it’s not central AC but sure felt like it once all were on! Backyard is cute and cozy - lots of patio furniture to lounge! We will be suggesting Tony’s place to all of our friends and family. We’d absolutely stay here again.

A cozy home away from home

We had a great stay while in Winnipeg for a sports tournament. It as a cozy house and Tony was quick to answer any questions we had. My daughter fell in love with Gopher the cat!
