Very comfortable, well managed hotel. Good lunch/dining a few meters away. Limited parking. No breakfast room. Breakfast requires driving to get something other than a coffee/pastry at a nearby establishment.

What a lovely hotel, rooms very nice and comfortable, great location with many good restaurants close by. Easy to walk to either The Forks or downtown Winnipeg. Would certainly stay here again.

The Mere was one of the best hotel stays I have had in a long time. I travel for business quite frequently and was so pleased and pleasantly surprised by: -great condition of the hotel -rooms (size, cleanliness, and amenities) -staff (friendly, genuine, helpful and kind) I am so glad that I choose to stay here, and will be back to this hotel and only this hotel when I visit Winnipeg.

I stayed here before COVID, but it has changed since then. There has been a lot of development that is continuing, and the waterfront just isn't what it use to be. A wonderful hotel nonetheless.

I was charged for a night that I didn’t even stay at the hotel. I was then told I would receive a refund, no problem. When I noticed that I was not yet issued a refund, I contacted the manager by the name of Patrick who told me that he would not be refunding me because the hotel happened to be fully booked that night. Of course this is a ridiculous response and has nothing to do with myself. Simply because of this lack of proper customer service, I will never be staying at the Mere Hotel ever again.

The only complaint was in the morning early. There was a lot of door slamming in the hall so I couldn’t sleep and it was just continuous slamming of doors in the hall that’s it.

Mere was clean and quiet. The view of the river was beautiful. Dining in the area is great. The location is right on the waterfront. Staff did an adequate job, but certainly did not go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There wasn't any parking left in the hotel parking lot and there was a charge for parking there. We ended up being able to park on the street for free because it was a Saturday evening. I would stay here again.

I was charged $95 for parking in the hotel's lot for 2 hours because I forgot to register my Vehicle at the front desk. I was not advised of such charges when I checked in.

Hotel was great very modern and clean. Front staff was very polite and helpful. The shower was a whole experience in itself like showers in the pouring rain. Only things that were not perfect was the parking was very limited however there is a parking lot close thats very inexpensive on weekends. They could also leave maybe some space in the stocked alcohol fridge they have for our own drinks? So we dont have to drink our own personal stuff we take from home warm.

There is no soundproofing. You can hear everything outside your room from the hallway. Big loud doors clicking shut at all hours of the night. Talking and sneezing could be heard at 4 am. Heating/cooling was a nightmare. It was either freezing or we were literally sweating. Did not get more than 3 hours sleep all night

Overall loved my stay at the Mere Hotel. It was a fantastic location that had everything you'd want within walking distance. The rooms and hotel was extremely clean. Honestly the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. Only thing of note that was mentioned in other reviews I've seen and it seems they're in the works of fixing it from replies is that the AC/Heating units are rather noisy. Also for parking, while I had no issue I feel like it would be easier for them to keep track of the spots until the lot is full rather than first come first serve. Would be annoying to pay for a spot, come back later and the lot is full.

It’s a nice little hidden gem just minutes away from Portage & Main, also located on the riverside. You get the liveliness of downtown Winnipeg as well as a small, quiet escape from it along the various walkways you can find near the river. Definitely would come back.
