'Overall the hotel is very nice and clean. The only thing I didn’t like was how steep the stairs was to the bedroom. It was a little scary walking down, my daughter fell twice. Thank goodness it wasn’t serious. Other than the steep stairs, it would have been a perfect stay '

'Don’t judge a book… from the road this hotel looked run down but it was one of the best of our trip! The back entrance deck has a hot tub, plants, hummingbird feeders, comfortable couches, etc. the room was huge with a microwave and fridge. The continental breakfast had excellent coffee and fresh juice, yogurt and pastries that must have been from a local bakery… no Sara Lee here! The owner, Joe is a wonderful person. Would definitely stay again!'

'As adult ski bums, we tried out 4 Winter Park inns under $200/night in this season. Viking Lodge is our favorite and the least expensive. It is an old lodge and exactly what they advertise: a very basic room with private bath and a refrigerator. If you can enjoy an old fashioned ski lodge, this is a perfect place. (If you need glamour and upscale, this is not your place.) The room was very comfortable with lots of extra pillows. There is no breakfast (same as 2 of the other lodges we stayed...
