'The main part of the hotel was stunning. The room I was in & the grounds needs a little TLC and. But overall comfortable night. The lates and resivour was lovely to walk around and spot local wildlife etc. '

'In our Family Room, the bedsettee mattress was about 4 inches/10cm lower at the shoulders than the lower part of the mattress. Had to use all the towels to try to level it out a little otherwise their head was far too low!!'

'Room was very clean as was the bathroom. It had everything you needed and it was all clearly labelled. Kingsize bed was really comfy. Curtains were blackout so no light got through. Situated in a lovely quiet area so there was no noise throughout the night. Throughly enjoyed the room. Had no issues are complaints. '

'Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume.
