Does not look anything like the photos. This place is old and rundown. There were young children running up and down the hall all night and the staff refused to do anything.

It was found in the description that gym and pool are available. However, there are no such facilities instead. Request a queen bed, they combine 2 single beds for me instead. There is a foul smell everytime i came back from outside. Most likely from toilet. I try to be environmenta friendly, they never provide me ‘do not disturb’ card. End up cleaning room every day. The is refreshment available as welcome drink. Cheap breakfast and has variety of choices. Staff are very friendly. Very near to Main Street for shopping.

Spectacular service but disappointing facilities
Service staff was commendable - very genuine service which made the stay memorable. Breakfast was better than expected, a good deal considering we only had to top up a few dollars more for it. We had a booking of 3 rooms, 2 connecting rooms were in an alright condition but the 3rd room at the corner was in a rougher condition than the other two. Size of the room and bathroom was smaller than expected but still adequate. Soundproofing was non existent - any happenings along the corridor was clearly audible and there was this flushing of the water pipe that was extremely loud during the night. Prayers could also be heard as early as 0430. Definitely not recommended for light sleepers. Wifi is kind of weak - accessible but loading videos and photo-intensive sites was a drag. We also had to request for hair dryers as they were not provided in the room but alas, were told they were "out of it". We only received 1 for 3 rooms and got another one on the 2nd night but only because we were quite adamant to get it. Apparently they only catered less than 20 hair dryers for the entire hotel. All in all, not the best stay I have had but everything was salvaged by the hotel's great service staff. We have experienced good service before but good and genuine service is hard to come by. A big thank you to the staff and their hospitality.

The hotel is located just 200meyres from maliabroro road which is the main shopping area of jogja. Also near to verenburg museum, Taman sari water castle, to a Protestant church n walking distance to. Catholic church. From higher floor can have a good view of Mt merapi. The staff is very Fri n accomodating.

Sehr gutes 3 Sterne Haus
Das Hotel Pesonna Malioboro ist ein sehr gutes Mittelklassehaus mit super Lage, nur ein Katzensprung von der berühmten Malioboro Street entfernt. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Betten und das Badezimmer werden zwei mal täglich zurecht gemacht. Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Ich werde beim nächsten Yogyakarta Aufenthalt wieder hier übernachten und selbstverständlich werde ich das Pesonna Malioboro wenn möglich auch weiterempfehlen.

Solid 3 star hotel
Friendliest front office staff you can find, especially Santi (manager). The hotel is new and in good condition but you can hear all the noise from the hallway and adjoining room. The rooms are very clean but small. Good for a single traveller or for 2 people with little luggage. No beer or alcohol available. Great location, easy walk to main attractions in centre/Malioboro.
