'Midden in het centrum bij de York minister, middeleeuws goed eten jammer dat we niet over de stadswallen mochten lopen reden gladheid/ijzelt.'

'Prima ligging bij oude stadspoort om binnenstad wandelend te verkennen. Vriendelijk personeel. Op kamer geen geluids- en geuroverlast. Terras aan achterkant is prima geschikt om met de kinderen een spelltje te doen en in de zon te zitten.'

'This is a very old building and it has been lovingly and beautifully restored. Perfect location in York to stay. Easy walk from the train station and close to the York Minster and the Shambles market. Dozens of restaurants, pubs and shops around the hotel. Cannot wait to go back!'

Kindly lent us some season tickets to various tourist attractions at no cost to us. Highly recommended venue and host.'

'Jorvik House was a great stay for our overnight trip in York and was centrally located but away from the crowds of the city. The room was well appointed and quiet, and we had the best night’s sleep of our entire 3-week UK trip in the very comfortable bed! The only fault of our stay is the lack of clarity around the parking at the property - we weren’t aware of the parking situation before we arrived and the closest car park was £25 per night. '
