'We stayed at The Grand last weekend for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic, right next to the York wall and only a 5-minute walk into the town centre.
The hotel staff were so welcoming, and the doormen in particular were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We parked in the NCP car park just around the corner, which was really convenient.
Although the pool was closed for renovation (something we were aware of when booking), our stay was still perfect. The...

The staff are so friendly and will do anything g they can to help. the rooms have recently been refurbished and they are really beautiful, to think this hotel room is as the same price as the premier inn, it’s really a no brainer! 'Staff friendly and helpful. Only criticism is that the staff were too quick to remove any crockery at breakfast. I was part of a group and we weren’t able to have a breakfast without a member of staff coming between us to take away an empty yogurt pot or plate. It spoilt what was otherwise a relaxing break. '

"The service from the staff was very good: friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, a lot to choose from. The room was a bit small for a familyroom in a hotel with 4 stars. Also warm. The parking was in the weekend full so we had to spend 28 pound for a parkingticket."
