Prachtige Mountain Retreat in Golden BC

Deze prachtige houten frame cabine is de ultieme berg vakantie aanbieden ongelooflijke rust en het unieke gevoel van midden in de natuur. De cabine (1800 ft2) is modern ingericht met 3 slaapkamers, een grote zolder en 2 badkamers waaronder een groot diep bad. Geniet van koken en dineren in een volledig uitgeruste keuken met een gasfornuis en eethoek die 6-8 zetels comfortabel.

Gewelfde plafonds en een open haard hout te maken voor gezellige comfort in de woonkamer. Of, genieten van een film en entertainment in de media kamer gelegen in het volledig ontwikkelde kelder. Net buiten de deur is een groot overdekt gewelfde dek met een gas-BBQ en buiten eethoek die open te stellen voor het hele jaar door buiten vuurplaats. Draadloos internet, satelliet-tv en een vaatwasser zijn ook aanwezig.

Omgeven door de wildernis aan alle kanten en op loopafstand van de rivier de Blaeberry, de natuur is net buiten de deur. Wandelpaden in overvloed waaronder eenvoudige wandelingen langs de rivier de volledige berg krabbelt. Tijdens de zomermaanden, de rivier biedt mogelijkheden voor kanoën en raften op de rivier. In de winter, genieten van de grenzeloze sneeuwschoenen terrein, skier spoor-set cross-country ski-pistes of sneeuwscooter op nabijgelegen kroon land.

De stad Golden ligt op 20 minuten rijden van het aanbieden van extra recreatie zoals skiën, raften en paragliden. Op zoek naar een epische skiën en paardrijden? Kicking Horse Resort en zijn legendarische poeder zijn slechts 25 minuten afstand. Voor cross-country ski-liefhebbers, Dawn Mountain heeft meer dan 30 kilometer geprepareerde loipes, variërend van beginners tot gevorderden. Gouden en omgeving beschikken over 5 nationale parken in de buurt voor volop avontuur. Dit is een echte Canadese Rockies ervaring.

Great for a Ski Vacation

We stayed here for a backcountry ski vacation. A good quiet place out of town. On the way to Roger’s pass, and not too far of a drive to the Icefields. The property was well equipped and Barb was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would return to this property.

Cabin off the beaten path

Great cabin off the beaten path. The host was great and the property is beautiful. It is a bit of a drive to certain locations, but if you like being out in nature and not surrounded by lots of people, you’ll love this. House was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant remote cabin

This is a nice well maintained lodge in a beautiful albeit remote location. The kitchen is well equipped and the house is thoughtfully furnished and decorated. The one thing that my family sorely missed was a washer/dryer. I think that for a house of this size in a remote location, a laundry would be a much needed addition.

Feel like a home away from home

Very quiet and peaceful property to enjoy away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Friendly and very interactive host. Easy to get hold and communicate with her. Definitely consider staying here again. Just missed a tower fan in the living area during the stay as it was too hot during our stay otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

Perfect Escape

In the chaos of life and uncertainty of people, these days, this place was the perfect escape from it all. It was peaceful, remote, but still within 20 minutes of civilization. It was the perfect reset, reconnect and beautifully put together place. Barb was amazing, the cabin was wonderfully equipped with enough necessities for our guys weekend. Amazing.

Home Base for Rogers Pass Ski Trip

A group of four of us rented this house for a ski trip in nearby Rogers Pass. This was a great house for a group of our four. Spacious, yet still cozy with everything you need for a mountain stay, including a wood stove, back deck and mountain views. Barb was a great host who was easy to contact and super helpful. We would stay here again!

Loved EVERYTHING about this place. It's fairly remote and allows you to just reconnect to nature. The outdoor patio was a dream, along with the lights and grill. The kitchen was well stocked. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Amazing attention to detail

Barb is fabulous! She is thoughtful in her communication with guests and has literally thought of everything. There is signage all throughout the cabin that helps guests make the most out of their stay. The decor is spectacular and makes you feel right at home. Our kiddos settled in instantly and even they had more they needed to stay entertained all week long. When we weren’t revelling in the splendour of the cabin, our family enjoyed the area based on all of Barb’s recommendations. From river rock collecting, bison ranch touring, mountain lake swimming, everyday was an adventure. In the early mornings, I even took a few mom moments and enjoyed my book in peace in the garden sitting area. It inspired me to take that feeling of tranquility home. On our first day, a bear ventured onto the property. With Barb’s warning, we knew we were in bear country and were able to scare it away for the whole week. Thank you Barb for a wonderful experience - we miss the cabin so much already! Count us in for future stays in the area - your piece of paradise is a must choice!

Getaway in the mountains

Spacious cabin in the mountains close to Blaeberry river. Nice backyard with fire place. We had an awesome time here, nothing was missing. Golden is the next town about 20 minutes away. Gravel road, so high clearance car is recommended but not a must have. Depends on the time of the year. Barb was a nice host looking after us.

Great secluded home

We very much enjoyed our stay at Barb's VRBO. The house was clean and nicely decorated with many pretty features. The yard is huge and the children enjoyed the trampoline and swing. Communication with Barb was great and she worked hard to make our stay relaxing.

Lovely family getaway

Perfect cabin and property for a family vacation. Cabin is well equipped and spacious. The yard is lovely with lots of room for the kids to play. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck and relaxing on the deck in the sunshine in the late afternoons following a day of exploring. Lots to explore and do in the area.

Peaceful Getaway

Barb's place is amazing! Easily accommodates 4 snorers so we can't hear each other. Beautiful backyard for campfires, sun tanning, yoga, etc. Lots to do in the area. Golden is a beautiful town with a nice brewery. There is a 13km round trip hike to a waterfall with lots to see along the way. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Fantastic mountain retreat

The perfect property for a short break in the mountains with our extended family. Beautifully clean and well-equipped cabin in a stunning location, with plenty of room for six of us (and beds to spare), and tons of things to do both indoors and out. Barb was a pleasure to deal with, with plenty of ideas on how to get the most out of the cabin and the local area. Our stay was over too quickly and we'd certainly like to come back again and explore the lovely Blaeberry valley some more.
