Boulder Grove Ranch (Acres of Boulders & Hot Tub)

Enjoy a spectacular desert escape in your very own boulder paradise! Set on eight acres of private boulders, you won't need to go into the park to enjoy scrambling on boulders! A property with everything you need is the perfect home base to your desert trip. The backyard is has a super rare grove of old-growth dense trees, providing shade and a surreal landscape in the desert. This property is set high on the mesa with no light bleed from town allowing for incredible stargazing. 

This desert abode is a vacation home on a one-of-a-kind desert property. There is a main house and a semi-detached guest house. The main house has two bedrooms two full baths, one half bath, a kitchen and two living rooms. The guesthouse is a self contained two bedroom house with one bathroom. There is a six person hammock wheel on the property, paths, a labyrinth and valleys to explore. There is also a rooftop deck with four sun loungers, a patio with spinner chairs and a large sectional and a deck in the middle of the boulder valley. There is a lot of land to roam and a lot of areas within the house to have your own private space to relax in. The main house, guesthouse, rooftop deck, the dining patio, the boulder valleys, the backyard. All 8 acres. You will have the property all to yourself. We will be available via phone / text during waking hours. We love this area and have a lot of recommendations within the area. We host friends often so we have a pretty long list of recommendations of things to do in the area, consider us your insiders! We value our guests and we want you to have the best stay ever. 

This property is located 1500 ft higher than downtown Yucca Valley, so the views and stargazing is incredible. Yucca Valley is a fantastic town right before Joshua Tree, a perfect mid point between the park and Pappy & Harriett's. The town is also where most shops and cafes are, as most locals live here not in Joshua Tree. A fantastic place to be based out of especially for those looking for accessibility, to be in the middle of it all, but also for peace & quiet. You will need a car to get around the area.

We do accept families with babies / young toddlers but guests will need to provide their own changing and sleeping set up, as we don't have specialist facilities to change babies, nor a crib in the house. This neighborhood is extremely quiet at night, we need our guests to be respectful of neighbors when staying here and beyond being aware of their noise level and not to trespass on the neighbors' property.

NB. Layout: The kids' bedroom in the main house is a loft, with two single beds adjacent to each other (very close) - it doesn't have a door, access to it is up a spiral staircase. The roof in the space is pitched, and low in places. This room doesn't have an attached bathroom, there is a dedicated bathroom at the base of the spiral staircase, that is accessible from the upstairs living area. We have glow-in-the-dark grip strips, and automatic night lights on the spiral staircase. The room has a dedicated heating/cooling wall unit. It doesn't have a full-size closet, but space to lay out a suitcase. 

Internet: We have the fastest internet money can buy out here, but it does sometimes drop off in speed. We have provided a Verizon Mifi unit in the house as a backup. TV: There are smart TVs or a Roku in all three living rooms so you can access your own Netflix/ Hulu accounts. We have also provided a shelf full of DVDs and we also have a few board games for your use. If the property shows as available when you try to book it, it is available. Our calendar is automatically updated. We have a 24 security camera pointed at the driveway/entrance to the property. One pointed at the barn entrance from the casita exterior wall, and one at the shed covering views of the backyard. There is a doorbell camera that is motion-activated in front of the main house. We have smart locks for no-contact checking. Codes are changed immediately after checkout. 

There is a 8' wooden Swedish plunge pool/hot tub onsite. It is available for use and guests are responsible for uncovering and recovering before and after use, and ensuring heater is turned off after use ($50 propane charge for heater left running after check-out).

Check in is 12 noon. Our 8 person max occupancy is strict and will be enforced.
