Exentric interior and great breakfast buffet.
Monfortinho is great outside the winter i guess, in december its pretty much deserted, but wandering in nature here is great, and its nice and quit.
This hotel i would recommend to anyone in any season.

'This hotel was great! While the immediate neighborhood is a little worse for wear in some ways, don’t let that put you off. This is a really nice hotel in a really nice little town. If you have time, walk across the stone arched bridge and enjoy the beautiful park on the other side. There are food stores, restaurants and everything you need - and the hotel it itself was great.'

'The accommodation met our expectations, being relatively close to the historic villages, although access to Monsanto village was difficult due to the type of road. We noticed some irregularities, such as the automated AC being difficult to adjust and having some malfunctions (we ended up switching it off at the power station to avoid problems).
