Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen und mit den Örtlichkeiten vertraut gemacht. Nach dem ich die Taxe bezahlt hatte bin ich auf das Zimmer gegangen. Dieses war sehr schön eingerichtet. Es war auch ein Balkon vorhanden. Alles war praktisch eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer war praktisch eingerichtet aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Hotel ist verkehrsgünstig am Bahnhof gelegen. Für eine Nacht für mich vollkommen in Ordnung. Einen längeren Zeitraum würde ich dort allerdings nicht verbringen. Das gilt aber insbesondere für den ganzen Ort. Zermatt ist für mich einfach nur hässlich. Mit maximal Verdichtung der Bebauung auf maximalen Profit getrimmt. Einen Urlaubstag stelle ich mir anders vor. Die Umgebung des Hotels war Bahnhof typisch hässlich. Ich habe dort übernachtet um am nächsten Morgen mit dem Glacier Express nach St. Moritz zu fahren.

Note that there is not early check in and staff isn't there 12-2 but there is somewhere to stash luggage. You couldn't get closer to train terminal - super convenient, also right next to great pizza place and the Gornergrat train. Room was extremely basic but honestly better than expected for a single room to fit 4 adults. Did the trick.

Great location to transportation shops and restaurants. Very clean. Nice staff. Good value for accommodations. Would consider coming again.

Excellent location just outside of train station! Room is very small for 4 people (me, my wife and two children). There is no elevator and had to climb stairs with luggage.

Worst hotel experience in Switzerland
Stayed for only 1 night. The next morning, there is completely no hot water for shower despite waiting for 2.5hours. Had to checkout of this hotel without any showering for the past 18hours. There is no lift nor help available to bring my single luggage bag upstairs which weigh more than 24kg. Most terrible hotel we have stayed throughout our 14-day trip in Swiss. Huge regret to book Bahnhof,

The property, staff and lication where perfect for my dorm room stay. Individuals ignired self kitchen clean up, on occasion, but it was no fault of the staff. Slobs, even with private rooms, can be found anywhere.

Hotel Bahnhof was the perfect place for us to stay. They are set up for travelers and have a ski room in the basement area with an outside access door. The kitchen is large with lots of table space to eat. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a little small with all of our ski luggage (which made the ski storage even more helpful). The shower was very nice and hot! Very walkable location. Fantastic stay!

Was ok but overall a little disappointed with our stay here. Main issues were (1) our room was next to stairs and we heard everyone going up and down during the night, (2) bed was uncomfortable - pillows were pretty much nonexistent (very flat) + duvet wasn’t that warm, there were also small holes and rips in the bedding, (3) sink didn’t drain properly, (4) the reception is closed between 11am-2pm so we had to pay to store our luggage at the station. The hotel had lockers but you could only get a key from reception which was closed…. Pros: good location next to station and convenient for zermatt and price. Would spend a little extra for somewhere nicer next time

Slept in "The Hole" in the attic
The 6 bed mixed room is in the attic without much light and a climb to get there. Bathroom is down the ladder. As I arrived, I found that my bed was already occupied (all of them in the room were) and there was a 7th bed in what can be described as a hole with no lights or electrical outlets. The worker offered me to charge the phone by leaving at their desk or to sit there (like anyone just arriving wants to do either of these) and they did not attempt to determine who was in the wrong place. Oddly enough there were sheets on the 7th bed as if they were expecting it to be used (and oversold the room). Fine place to stay otherwise, seemingly lazy and/or lying staff so would not recommend as you might end up in the Hole.

We would recommend the Hotel Bahnhof! Obviously very close to the train station which is helpful. Our room was very clean (double room with private bathroom). So great you could store luggage before check in and after check out. We liked that you could use the kitchen to save some money. Would stay here again for sure!

This is a Hostel. I did not know that when I booked. But it was a great place, very clean, wonderful to have use of a kitchen. Perfect location right by the train station.

Hotel Bahnhof was a little gem. We were on a budget and could not afford much in Zermatt. I didn't realize when I booked that it was a hostel / hotel. However, it turned out to be the best for us. We shopped in the local grocery store and ate our meals in the communal kitchen, which was clean and very convenient. We also enjoyed the laundry facilities (halfway through our trip). The room was comfortable and clean. The shower was strong. The desk clerk was very helpful and nice. If you're looking for a nice place to stay on a middle class traveler's budget, this is your place. But, bring your phone or laptop. There wasn't a tv.

What we particularly liked about this property was that it was right in front of the train station so we didn't have to take a taxi. The staff was very helpful and friendly and it was convenient for shopping, dining etc. We had not noticed that this was a hostel when we booked it and were a bit dismayed when we arrived and found that we had a shared bathroom, but it turned out okay. We never had any problems having to wait for facilities the entire time we were there.
