Too expensive for what it offers
Pro's: - Ideal location (central, everything on walking distance, 5 min walk to central station) - Great staff, very helpful - Clean Con's: - For such an expensive hotel, I would expect a whole range of complimentary bath necessities (shampoo, conditioner, body cream, vanity kit, etc). Instead only 2 dispensers of combined body/hair wash, and 2 small bottles of body cream. - Matress was not good - Relatively small rooms - Dissapointing breakfast, very basic. - Small elevators and stairs even on the same floor, so maybe a consideration for disabled people. All in all, price-quality ratio was dissappointing.

While the location and beautiful red awnings looked appealing, what I found inside were bitter staff at check in and old dirty carpet throughout. Do not be fooled by the location or happy facade as the house staff is unhelpful, greedy for more money and disinterested in your comfort. Never again!

Hotel incrível! Super bem localizado. Para quem chega ou sai da estação de trem, pode chegar a pé com as malas! Fica no Início da principal avenida de Zurique. Escolhi o quarto conforto de casal e foi excelente! Quarto espaçoso e banheiro grande. Com certeza irei voltar e me hospedar novamente!

Room was very old and not like any of the photos. Bathroom was ancient with cracked tiles. Despite booking a double and twin weeks ago, we were given two doubles as “that’s all we have”! Would not recommend this hotel.

Booked two rooms and one room wasn't ready. When i when back to the reception, they put me onto a different floor. As they mixed me up with another person with the same surname (even tho i stated my full name). The room was a single bed room, but i paid for a double room.

Decent overnight stay near to train station. These hotels tend to be high usage hotels and this is one of the better ones. Ideally placed near station. Although our bed was not comfortable and affected our nights sleep. Didn’t use restaurant as we were stopping overnight and chose to try fondue elsewhere. Would certainly stop again for one night.

We got a room as we were getting married. NOT our honeymoon, though! I knew the hotel from the years when my grand parents would stay there. It was one of the "Grand Palace" places. The Bahnhofstrasse is Zürich's "5th Avenue" (compared to Manhattan, NYC) and the country's most prestigious and expensive street. So, the hotel's entrance is on the side while some an unrelated store uses the coveted main street commercial front. I understand that. But from there on, it's down hill. The rooms (we got one on the 5th floor with main street view) seem "newer" in a 90's style/... like an upper Business Hotel. The bathrooms very simple. One sink, a tub and toilet all in the same space. White tiles, nothing to incite romance or luxury . The rest of the hotel is just old but lacks the charm of antiquity. The elevators are small. The older one just about the size of a residential elevator. The newer one is minuscule. Just for two people. But no help with the luggage offered. It's winter and we found the room in the afternoon at 17 Celcius just shy of 63 Fahrenheit. The central radiators just barely lukewarm. The AC system does NOT invert to heat either. As it got colder during the night we had use the hair dryer to blow some heat and ask for a plug-in heater the next morning. The request was met with little excitement, but we got our heater.
