'Lovely condo with gorgeous ocean view on the top floor! This place had everything we could possibly need to enjoy our vacation, including fins, googles and beach towels. The condo decor was so tasteful and tropical, loved that. Nothing felt cheap, very nice comfortable bed and linens. For the price and the great location right across from the king Kamehameha resort, this was a real bargain. Would be happy to return! 'The Big Island Retreat is a lovely property located minutes on foot to one of the best snorkeling beaches on Big Island. We stayed in the Ocean view room which was over 2 floors. The view from the bedroom is lovely. The rooms are quite small with little storage. The bed was only a double and very high off the floor making getting into it really hard. The bathroom is not totally enclosed and has no basin as the kitchen sink is just outside. Although there was nobody staying in the rooms...

'This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts. '

'I celebrated my husband birthday here and the host Carol and his wife worked with me to surprise him with a delicious birthday cake. They bought the cake and surprised us. The stay was amazing, if your not planning to stay in all day as we were pretty much out enjoying our activities and slept most of the 2 nites. Waking up to their delicious bed and breakfast was a plus not to mention their breath taking view. If you don’t mind sharing the living room with other guest and value your bedroom...

'Excellent property, and wonderful, helpful staff. We had an ocean front room, which was amazing. The pool is great for kids and adults alike. The property is also located a little away from the busy part of Ali’i drive, which makes it great to relax at the end of the day after a day full of activities but is conveniently located near beaches and grocery/convenient stores. I highly recommend the property to anyone planning a trip to Kona.'

'This property was well past my expectations in a good way. Very peaceful and welcoming. You can walk to the shopping center and other beach front resorts with ease. Be prepared to have some type of vehicle whether it’s car, scooter, electric bike etc since most of the attractions are far from this location. '
