'Erg vriendelijke mensen en een hele nette kamer! Dit was onze 2e keer hier en we komen wederom weer terug! Heerlijk om hier te verblijven en er is een mooie sfeer. Het staat in een mooie, typische Engelse buurt en alle winkels die je nodig hebt zijn op 5 min. afstand lopen. Wel een typisch klein bed voor 2 personen, maar wij als Nederlanders zijn natuurlijk ook wat langer. Al met al een echte aanrader!'

'Voor de vierde keer in het Phoenix hotel. Altijd goed. Het is een basis hotel, maar meer heb ik niet nodig. Helaas deze keer wel luidruchtige buren en ik vond de temperatuur in het hotel overal behoorlijk hoog. Maar echt wel een aanrader. '

'The geographic situation is perfect in the center of Portobello market. The view from the room makes you feel a part of it. The room itself was cosy with a sixties feeling and the bed was comfortable. There was even a basket with citruses and the ingredients to add to a glass of Gin if you so wished...On the downside, the corridor and stairs to get there were very dark and could do with a sorrow clean and brightening up...'

'Check-inn verliep heel soepel, wij konden eerder inchecken ivm een vroege vlucht. De studio was volledig naar wens en had alles wat wij nodig hadden en meer. Kortom, een geweldige ervaring. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.'

'Very nice hotel in a nice area! The lobby is neat and the staff is very friendly and helpful. As a family of 4 with 2 children of 11 and 9 years old we stayed in the family room, which was nice and cosy, with the children’s beds on a mezzanine. The breakfast was very good and extensive. We especially liked the effort the staff made to provide our celiac daughter with a gluten-free breakfast every morning. Certainly a hotel to recommend!'

'I arrived early and was able to check in and have acces to the room right away. The room was clean and I was told that for cleaning service, let them know at the reception before 11.00am. The location is perfect. Underground 5 minutes walking distance and many busstops, shops, restaurants etc. in the vicinity. '

'Mixed review. The building location was great. The room was smallish but that was well advertised. The amenities were there but all did NOT work. Most notably was the ceiling fan. Small rooms on hot London days and nights without proper ventilation is rough. Management did NOT fix during my stay but instead offered a small (maybe 4-5 inch) table top fan that was grossly inadequate to cool the room. Ultimately, I ended up buying a larger fan so I could cool enough to sleep. It's...

'Cute property! I liked the room but had problems with the shower temperature and a park of the toilet was missing. There were also 2 dirty towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door.'
