'The house was charming and quirky and filled with character. We all fell in love with it! The bedrooms were spacious and the living space was great. We loved that the dining table had room for all 8 of us. The grounds were beautiful and the kids loved catching fish, roasting marshmallows and playing on the swing. The location was so convenient but away from the crowds. The host responded to our questions and needs promptly. We had a great stay!'

'Just the stairs are a problem - too shallow for a foot to fit on them and one step - third one up is a full inch shorter than others - several of us adults fell or mistepped'

'Enjoyed our trip with our doggo. The downstairs rental had surprisingly large bedrooms and a very large bathroom, which was nice where we had little ones running around. It's a historic building so if you like the vintage charm and quirks, it's great and a great value. If you're accustomed to more polished accommodations, this may not be for you. the yard is huge and my kids had fun playing in the snow. Also, there are goats next door. Did I mention the goats?'

'Very quaint, cozy and quiet. Close to everything but tucked just far enough back that you don’t hear noise. The personalized touches were amazing. Owner was very nice. We were able to grill dinner and enjoy a fire pit. The renovations successfully maintain the historic features but include modern conveniences.'

'Family and friends stayed for our family reunion in Newburg. The home was comfortable, clean and well stocked. The host was amazing and was quick to respond to any questions.'

'Very nice old farmhouse in a quiet and relaxing setting. Large grassy and wooded section to the front of the house that featured deer & turkeys. The house was cozy & comfortable & had everything we needed to relax after a day of sightseeing in Gettysburg.'

'The farmhouse is beautifully restored as the listing says. Tons is nice little touches and great overall ambiance. Kids (ages 9-17) loved the top floor kid pad. Adults enjoyed spacious bedrooms. Kitchen was well appointed. I took a morning run and very much enjoyed the countryside view. Love how remote it is! Would definitely book again.'

'Location is remote, but it is located on the Little Marsh. We enjoyed meeting the owners and receiving the instructions for the house. Net time we’ll take advantage of the river and catch some fish.'

'I traveled and stayed for the weekend with 6 adults. If you have kids, this would be fine as we stayed in a premiere cabin. The bunk bed were tight for us. The sleeper sofa was uncomfortable with the bar in your back and the main bed was ok. The place was clean and the shower had a good amount of hot water. The TV couldn’t get a signal to work. The place overall needs some TLC, but it was overall just ok. '

'We thoroughly enjoyed our short weekend stay in Gettysburg in this rental. It was the perfect size and had everything we could’ve needed and more. I wanted to stay longer just so we could spend more time in the place! The location is the best- walkable to everything we wanted to do. We absolutely will stay here again!'
