'This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. 'Beautiful location in a very quiet neighborhood. We stayed a week at Volcano Hale. Bought our own groceries near the airport since we read there were no stores near the house. Drove over 2 hours from Kona and less than an hour from Hilo when we did day trips. The house is only close to Volcano National Park. 'The guesthouse situated in a portion of the property was quaint and well appointed. The unit was spacious and contained a full kitchen. We throughly enjoyed the fresh eggs left by the host. The linens were of great quality which really added to our comfort and made us feel at home. Observing and interacting with some of animals on the property was an amazing experience. 'We had a really good experience staying at the Outrigger Kauai Resort. The resort had nice pools, hot tubs, restaurants, bars, and a café gift shop. It was also really nice to walk out to the beach to watch sunrises and sunsets. The resort location was close to almost everything we wanted to do. The room was clean and functional with a great view from the lanai.'
