“Cape Town's best hotel with fantastic and friendly service”

I stayed at Cape Grace from 19th-24th November 2007, with my husband and our 10 month old baby son. From the moment we walked into the hotel, to the moment we left, we felt incredibly welcome and like treasured guests to an exclusive club. Every member of staff made our stay feel so special. Although we were early for check in the staff made every effort not to keep us waiting and in the meantime provided complimentary drinks in the library and kept us informed how long it would be before the room was ready. When we entered the hotel room, the level of facilities provided for our son was quite unexpected (cot with beautiful bedding, changing table, high chair, sterilising equipment, baby bath, baby toiletries and other baby products and a personlly wrapped gift). It is impossible to list everybody who made our stay so great, but the check in staff, waiters, maids and many others were all so helpful and friendly.

There is so much to see and do in Cape Town that I think you need to do your homework and decide which things are important to you . Almost everything is a distance so you make a trip out of it with others, either half day or full day. There is no shortage of beauty and wonderful activities and the food is over the top wonderful. Our US dollar buys much compared to their RAN so have fun shopping. Lots of shopping all with walking distance. Things like Table Mountain are one of many activities not to be missed. But, you can't do them all in two days......I had the good fortune of having a friend with me that new her way around so we made reservations at La Perla one nite and at Paranga the second. Best cosmopolitan I have ever had in my life, food was something better than great. The chocolates they leave on your pillow are so decadent a bought a box for myself to take home. Between the restaurants, shopping, activities and the Cape Grace itself, it was the best of the best. You can even check you email before you go to bed in the media room, another free service.

From arrival until departure this hotel truly impressed us both, with the professionalism on every level of service. A truly impressive hotel with wonderful staff, who truly cared about our stay from beginning to end, and always remembered who we were when addressing us, at all times. This Hotel is situated in the nicest area of the V&A with outstanding views all around. A Hotel i would recommend to everyone, it truly has the WOW Factor
