'We really enjoyed our stay while in town visiting family. Carol goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and was very responsive to questions, including restaurant recommendations. We had our dogs with us, so very much enjoyed the large yard and the multiple walking trails that have been created around the property. During our stay, we also toured to the Motown Museum, so just adding a plug for that as we REALLY enjoyed it. Thanks again, Carol, for a great stay and all the hospitality!'

Without disclosing in listing, Listing says private backyard Smart Thermostat doesn’t work correctly or host refused to take off remote settings. Most of our stay we were cold There are property managers & you’re asked to take their trash cans to the curb if you’re staying on a Sunday. Not a big deal,...

'This place was unsafe, please do not stay here, there is a broken railing. The heat does not reach the upstairs bedroom. There were electrical outlets, not covered correctly sidewalks were not clean or well-maintained. There are no local channels. There are no clean and well-maintained cookware. They left all the alarm clocks set for zero 800 throughout the house, the shower curtain was not long enough so water coated the floor making it slippery '

'The Roost is a VERY cool update on a classic Detroit property. The rooms have character with a capital C, and aren't your standard hotel space. From the moment you enter the lobby, you realize this is something quite different. Once there, you're in the heart of Detroit, with easy walking to tons of restaurants and the downtown, including Woodward, concert venues, and Comerica Park. Excellent. We'll be back. '

'I stayed here with my son during a family visit. We loved the kitchen space and the roomy bathroom. The bed was clean and cozy. A couple of grocery stores were nearby. Commercial park is just up the street. We would stay here again. '
