'Checkin very friendly, the park is super clean, parking easy. Apartment good with lot of extra's like dishwasher, washing machine, coffee etc. Close to the black beach. Although there is not much around the location (20-30min drive for a supermarket), thats not the worst. On the big island everything takes time to drive, so for a relaxing place, this hotel is recommended.'

'During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating). 'I was extremely impressed by the beautiful location and well-kept environment. It shows they have pride in their homestead and take very well care of everything. The guest house was extremely clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable and peaceful stay. 'We had a great time at Na'alehu. We arrived after dark and the road to the apartment was a little bit scary, as some parts are not paved. But just keep going to the top of the hill and you'll find the place. Vickie and Wesley were very friendly and exeptionally helpful during our stay - thank you! The place is close to south point, green sands beach and Punalu'u black sand beach (where green sea turtles sometimes come to rest). We also recommend the Punalu'u bakeshop with delicious treats.'

'We loved our stay here. This particular unit has one of the best locations on the property with a direct view of the ocean. We saw many whales right offshore from our unit! The location near the black sand beach was fantastic and we loved the ocean and turtles. It is a quiet and peaceful place to visit. The unit was very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and was perfect for a quiet getaway.'
