The grounds with the ponds are a natural paradise, so much fun to watch and hear the many birds, otters, frogs (and even local cows down the way). 'This is a beautiful and spacious home with river access and porch for sunning and relaxing. We spent 2 of our 4-night hiking trip here. The owner went out of his way for us, lighting the fire pit, and bringing smore fixings for the kids (12 and 13). Inner tubes and kayaks were available, and despite the cold temp., the kids tubed down the shallow river and were in heaven! Spotlessly clean, and we were thrilled to find Rummikub in the game cupboard. Quiet, private area.'

'If you want peace and privacy close to Lost River State park this one is for you. Super clean super quiet and what a lovely little getaway for 2! The privacy leans more towards bringing food etc with you as the closest town isn't super close but everyone was so friendly! We really loved this place and it proved just why they say the WVA is almost heaven. Thank you both for a wonderful stay!'

'This place is super close to the Trak and Yak trip which we were in town for. It was a great location right in the middle of town. The only complaint would be the three window AC units did not cool the whole house. At least the evenings were cool to open the windows. Would stay there again, but would bring a fan for the king size bedroom that did not have a window unit.'

'Beautiful quiet location. Very close to the forest, but unfortunately there is a large stream that runs across the trail that leads to GWNF. Otherwise, a nearly perfect place! The host's communication was great as well. We enjoyed the pool table (can be table tennis as well), and the variety of hikes a short drive away. Some of the furniture had animal hair on it from a previous guest. A deeper clean would have been appreciated, but it wasn't a major concern. We will consider visiting again in...
