'Very convenient for central Scarborough, South Bay and the Spa. Parking is a little tricky although there is a multi-storey up the road for £12 a day. The hotel itself was grand although in need of a little TLC - renovations were ongoing while we were there. The room was similar - comfortable and spacious but with a few things in need of repair.'

'Enjoyed the spa, particularly the huge jacuzzi! Bar area was nice for a drink before going out. The only down side was that the room was very hot. There’s no way to control the heating. There’s a ceiling fan which is quite effective, but it was like an oven and windows could only open a crack to let in air. But it’s nicely situated in the cliff with great views across the sea from the front of the hotel.'

'It's a cheap and cheerful B&B except no breakfast at the moment (probably because of the season). Lots of cafés nearby though. Don't expect the height of luxury at £65 a night for a double room en suite. The view was to die for!'

'What a gem of a find and without hesitation would return. The bus stop is literally just outside around the corner where we got the bus to Scarborough for £2 esch way. We did the pub quiz on the Wednesday night for a good cause at only £1 each to enter with a free bowl of chips and a plate of sandwiches. The pub has a great atmosphere and we eat in the pub on the evening. I had home made steak pie with yorkshire puddings to start. The bedrooms are modern and very clean with tea msking facilities...
