'Stayed here for a weekend for a mini honeymoon/wife’s birthday. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We stay at a lot of cabins around shenendoah valley and this one was definitely high on the list of quality. Very clean and cozy. We took a hike, enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub, grilled, and relaxed on the upper deck. All the appliances worked and shower was great. Our only issue was the bed was very noisy and sounded like it could use some attention or an upgrade, there was a good...

'Check-in was a breeze. The heat was on when we got there, fresh towels, linen, and a fully equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook. We enjoyed using the outdoor charcoal grill for our New Years Eve feast. Our dog loved sniffing around and going down to the river. I wish it would have been warm enough to sit on the screened in porch, it was lovely! Very cozy, we will be back to enjoy it in the warmer months!'

'House is clean and very nicely updated. Kitchen is well equipped with everything needed. Bedrooms and bathroom are very well done and comfortable. Location and neighborhood are great; very close to Main street, parks, and Skyline drive. Backyard is very large and fully fenced. Any additional comfy chair would be a great addition in the family room. Some of the stairs to upstairs are slanted down and make them feel slippery. We would recommend anti slip treads to stairs. Would definitely rent...

'Everything about this place was just perfect! It is truly a hidden gem and we really had a memorable stay here. The cottage is tastefully decorated and super clean, with beautiful views from every window. We had a welcome package waiting for us (wine/cheese/chocolates) and the owner gave the kids mini pumpkins as we were checking out. Very kind, thoughtful owner with excellent communication. Will definitely be coming back here again.'

'The house has been updated nicely especially bathrooms! Great view and the screened in porch is amazing! The location is fantastic, close to The Guesthouse and the farmer's s market too! If you are planning to cook a lot as we did, there is not a ton of counter space and no dishwasher.'

'We got to the home which sits on the side of a mountain the driveway is super steep. The pinpad door locks were really hard to open , once inside, the home smelled like wet dogs and had stains on the sofa and other furniture. The screen on the tv in the living room was covered with children’s handprints there was dog hair all around on the floor. The video arcade game’s downstairs had dried up cheese on them .. just nasty! The owner was very responsive and did refund my money back once I let him...

'Had a great time staying at the Masten Cabin, celebrating our anniversary and my husbands birthday. Quiet and secluded in the woods, yet close to Winchester, Strasberg and points beyond. Well appointed with comfy furniture, we especially enjoyed the screened in porch to sip coffee and enjoy the view. If our travels take us back this way, we’d love to stay again!'
