“Tips for the easy going traveler”

The wireless is the best bet when using this hotel don’t try the cable in the room while there. The hotel restaurant wasn’t worth the price that was charged for dinner. If staying at the hotel more than 2 evenings their buffet dinner gets old as well. Otherwise the staff and service were excellent. There are always taxis available (at all hours of the night and day). There is also a free shuttle that goes to the beach every hour from 1030-1430 and picks you up from 1630-1930. The hotel is not too far from the main sites of Valencia; an easy taxi ride or decent walk depending on what you want to see. Also there is an ATM directly across the street from the taxi spot, all right outside this hotel.

“Good base for a few nights!”

I am rating the hotel based on the price I paid, which was a very good rate and therefore I was extremely happy with what I found. It was 25 mins walk from the marina, 15mins from the Palace of Fine Arts and about 25 from the old town so for me in the middle of everything I wanted to see!

“A classical welcoming hotel”

The hotel is near the beautiful river gardens and ideally for visits to the Arts and Science complex. The city centre is only a 10 min bus ride away and there several buses which stop nearby. Valencia has superb public transport, including an extensive bus network and metro. Seven euros will buy you a travel card (Bonobus) with ten rides covering the whole city and beach. I booked a room at a substantially discounted rate and was pleasantly surprised to be allocated a very spacious, quiet and well appointed room furnished to a high-standard. I had some initial difficulties with internet access which the staff at reception very helpfully resolved. I did not use the swimming pool, which is very small, but took full advantage of the free coach ride to the beach (only 10 minutes away).

“Certainly one to return to !”

It was a last minute booking so wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel looks good, the staff were friendly and, I think, my only complaint was that the room I got was a little down-at-heel and probably reserved for those who'd got a late deal. (Other rooms looked great.) I only had breakfast..... which was good and plentiful; set me up for looking round the city very well. It's close to the tour bus stop and 15 minutes stroll from the Alameda Metro station; I walked there and back on both arrival and departure trips to the airport. Overall, I'd happily go back again.....

“Nice and decent hotel”

The qualtity and the location of the hotel was quite good. We would recommend the hotel for every one who is planning to visit València for a couple of days.

“Super vriendelijk!”

Ben hier 6 nachten geweest. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Kamer werd uitstekend schoon gemaakt: iedere dag schone lakens. Ontbijt was prima met zelfs vers sinaasappelsap. Wel wat onderhoud in de algemene ruimte nodig. Hotel ligt prima ten opzichte van het centrum. Aanrader: huren van fietsen. Ik zou dit hotel zeker weer boeken bij een volgend verblijf. Ben hier heel erg tevreden over!

“Disappointing”

I booked 2 rooms at Beatriz Rey Don Jaime. Our room was missing the safe and hotel room information, and the bathroom sink and toilet leaked. My son's room had problems with the shower in which faucet detached from the wall. The staff at the front desk was not receptive to questions. The night bus tour driver refused to wait 1 minute for my son to come downstairs, therefore we did not get the experience of the night tour. During my vacation of 8 days, I spent time in 3 hotels and 1 hostel. The stay in this 4 star hotel was the worse compared to the others which did not share the same rating.
