The property manager, Elaine, gave us plenty of area information to get acquainted with what’s around in the neighborhood. It was our first time using VRBO and everything ran smoothly. We will definitely be back soon. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a short distance away from Starved Rock.'

'A great all-around experience. Lot's of room to relax, a nice big kitchen with a breakfast bar, and all a stone's throw from Starved Rock. I loved the balcony off the bedroom and the jacuzzi. The Grand Bear lodge has a great bar as well. Great restaurant options between Utica, Peru and Ottawa, or venture over to the Starved Rock state park lodge restaurant.'

'We took a family weekend getaway out of the city to Starved Rock and stayed with this host. From the time of purchase through checkout, the host was accommodating and available. The description of the home was spot on and was stocked with all of the basic needs and more. The grill and fire pit were a huge hit. It’s a 5 minute drive to breakfast locations, ice cream shop, and a grocery store and 10 minute drive to starved rock. Our kids had so much fun playing monopoly, we made it a no electronic...

'This property was gorgeous. The home itself was very warm, inviting, and spacious. We knew immediately when we walked in that we snagged a winner. It was a great home for spending time together but also finding small moments of time to chill and relax. We had a minor issue with the digital entry code, but management was able to fix it quickly.'

'Very clean upon arrival and all beds are very comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 adults. I only used the downstairs shower, water pressure and hot water availability was awesome! Communication was a breeze and response time was very fast! Check in couldn’t be any easier. Plenty of towels, extra blankets, toilet paper, trash bags. 'This was a very nice home, and recently updated. I will defenately go back. It was nice that the yard was fenced in for the dogs. I highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed. Alot of good restaurants within a five minute drive.'

'Everyone in our family really enjoyed this house, we all had extra space to do our things. So many bathrooms , nice kitchen and plenty of dining space. We also enjoy the beautiful view of the Illinois River while having our cookout or at night during bonfires. We’ll definitely come back to this gorgeous home!'

'I stayed at the property with girlfriends and our dogs for a girls weekend. The property was clean and had everything that we needed for the weekend (and more). We loved the air hockey and ping pong in the basement. The host was very nice and was easy to get ahold of. I would definitely stay here again.'

'We enjoyed the peacefulness and seclusion of the house out in the country. It was a short drive over to Starved Rock and we even made a drive into a grocery store in LaSalle which was about 20 min away. We had a hard time getting the lock to open when getting in and with the heat but the owner was very quick to respond and resolve issues. He was kind and was understanding to our needs. Know that if you’re bringing children there’s only one bedroom with a door; the other is just partitioned off...

'The unit was stylish, clean and well thought out. The complex where this was located had lots of activities and we could walk right there. We also walked right to Starved Rock trails from our condo. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home!!'

'Great location for the water park, hikes and down town. Lots of games and fun things to do in the villa. You need to bring everything- shampoo, soap etc do come prepared even if for one night!'
