'This is a great hotel to use as a base to travel around the area. We stayed 4 nights and it was generally quiet although you can hear some noise from neighbours and road but we expected that. Bed was comfortable. Room size adequate and easily warmed with the reverse cycle air conditioning. A small bar fridge. Best part is including breakfast in our stay and having the restaurant on site to get evening meals. They also have the most amazing native flowers growing '

'Beautifully appointed rooms. Enjoyed watching the sunset with the horses grazing in front and the Kangaroos in the distance.'

'This was a great tidy and quite property. It was like a quaint gem amongst gaudy McMansions with oversized yards. We felt very at home with a full kitchen, warm fireplace and laundry available. '

'The property was very clean & tidy inside in a very quiet location. The courtyard outside needed some TLC to tidy up the garden. It was a short walk to Middleton Beach & also to the Golf Club. However, you needed to drive to local shops. We had a 5 night stay in the property & thoroughly enjoyed our time in Albany. '

'We had a wonderful time in Albany. We booked a 5 night stay at the Golf and Beach Retreat. The weather was not in our favour for a few days but that didn't deter us from getting out and about. We were well equipped for it! We enjoyed some lovely food and took in many of the sights that Albany is famous for. The Whaling Station is a must! Our accommodation was good, although a little dated but it suited our needs. Be mindful that if you use a mobility aid you may have issues getting through the...

'The Grange on Calgan Farm is placed on beautiful grounds with views over the Kalgan River. It is very quiet and relaxing, however, even though it is advertised as pet and child friendly the host is not particularly friendly towards dogs and children. We had a lovely time in Albany, and spent hardly any time at the Grange, with two adults, two teenage children and a labrador, expecting a dog friendly place, as it was advertised, but did not feel welcome with our dog.
