'This was the worst value-for-money we have ever had in the US. First of all, there is basically no service. We stayed for a week, house-keeping never entered the room. You need to walk to the reception to get a new towel, to get toilet paper or when the shampoo ran out. The place advertises having a spa and sun terrace, those were closed all week. And then there's the noises... Three nights there was a barking dog in the room next to us. All night long... It bared throughout the day as well, but...

'The owners are so kind, friendly, and thoughtful! I stayed here the night before the eclipse, and because they knew people wanted to leave early the next day to beat the eclipse traffic, they moved up the start of breakfast (poached eggs and bacon hash, yum!) an hour. The hotel is beautiful and has wonderful views of the surroundings, including the lake, from windows. There is a nice loop around the lake that can be done, and hiking trails nearby. It's like staying in a Bulgarian youth hostel...
"This was the worst value-for-money we have ever had in the US. First of all, there is basically no service. We stayed for a week, house-keeping never entered the room. You need to walk to the reception to get a new towel, to get toilet paper or when the shampoo ran out. The place advertises having a spa and sun terrace, those were closed all week. And then there's the noises... Three nights there was a barking dog in the room next to us. All night long... It bared throughout the day as well, but at least that didn't keep us up. I complained at the reception but that didn't change anything. One night there was a group of ~30 persons partying on the hall-way right outside our room. The only reason we could get some sleep was because the extremely noisy airco filtered out some of the yelling... We have stayed in various hotels in the area before, this was hands-down the worst."
