'We were accosted at reception by drunk patrons, upon entering the room we noticed the smell of urine, brown curious stains and smudges on the walls .. bugs on the sheets and black mold on the windows'
'The Belfry is brilliantly well run. The staff are by far the best I've ever met in any hotel in my entire life. Truly brilliant. Friendly, engaging, funny, professional and confident. Proud of where they work and their part in it. Not unctuous just terrific.

My room was all the way in the back end of the hotel. The gentleman in charge at the reception offered to walk with me to my room. He insisted I would get lost if he didn't, and he was right. The hotel is much bigger than it looks: It toke several minutes to get to my room, and we had a great conversation on the way!
