'This is kind of like staying in a cabin. It is rustic. Very cleanfor an old building. If you look at the pictures it is what it is along with the price. The biggest draw back for us is it reeks from smoke. Whether it's from long time smokers living there or people who live downstairs, I don't know. They don't allow smoking now but it really needs an ozone machine. I hate writing a bad review but you need to look closely at the pictures. It was a convenience for us to stay in that location which...

'We were visiting family in SRF and picked this property because of its location. Couldn’t be happier with our choice. Very clean and well appointed. The shower was very nice complete with a variety of body wash, etc. Very large and comfortable couch. We used the king sized bed which was also very comfortable. All in all a great place to stay and with 4 bedrooms we would come with more family. Thank you to our host. '

'Cozy apartment, centrally located within easy walking distance of downtown, Mirror Lake, and a grocery store. Host was responsive to questions and parking (behind the building) was easy. Outside stairs to get up to the apartment were snow free, but might be something to keep in mind if someone had mobility issues.'

'First of all, this place is just gorgeous. The decor, cleanliness and cozy feel can't be beat. Yes, the lack of running water is challenging, but I had a warm shower each day and even managed to shave. Cooking, washing and showering just took longer. I wasn't in a rush. My only complaint is the incinerator toilet. I think my bladder is just too large, so caution there. Otherwise, it worked well. The communication was rapid and effective. I'd stay here again for sure!'

'We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cottage. The hosts responded to texts quickly and provided clear instructions. The cottage was clean and quite warm even in below freezing weather. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. Cottage is in a quiet part of Lake Placid but within driving distance to downtown.'

'The Internet dropped in and out the last day we were there and water pressure in the shower fluctuated at one point going off for about 30 sec while showering. Outside of that, nice place and our stay was good. I’d go back again.'
