'Very clean, two minute to the beach, and very nice pool! Only downside is no wi-fi and you can't hook up a console or streaming device to watch streaming apps. Also wish there was more parking. Thankfully we were always able to get to a spot before it was full but late night goers may struggle. Definitely a nice spot for those who don't care about that stuff and close to the beach.'

'The place is nice. However it’s not the cleanest. We checked in and saw 2 hair on a supposed clean towel, as well as a fly that we couldn’t deal with. The staff was able to provide fly catcher for us to hit the fly, but was unable to change us into another room that’s ocean front.'

There was an issue with them being short-staffed during our stay so we had difficulty securing bedding for the pull out couch as well as enough towels and wash cloths for our large party. 'The description of a side ocean view was not at all what I expected. The room was never cleaned up during our stay. TVs didn’t work from day 1 had to ask for not only towels but the tv to be fixed which they did come quickly to do but within a few hours of leaving and coming back to the room the tv was back to not working. 'We’ve been coming to OC for 25+ years and have stayed at The Hampton Inn ever since they opened. We always get our preference of a bay room, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We were a little apprehensive with it being a pet friendly hotel but there were no issues. We appreciate the fact that they have already remodeled when the hotel isn’t really that old. Pretty bummed though that the tiki bar has been removed 😔.'

'Good value for a short stay in a convenient location just off the beach road. Property is quite dated, but our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I will mention that the outer entrances were unlocked all day and night, even though there were card reader mounted right next to the doors. The breakfast voucher was great; the restaurant breakfast was excellent and far better than the usual breakfast options in this class of hotel.'
