'I have been coming for years and overall love it. Room cleaning could be better. Especially take the empty glasses and cups. My serious complaint are the bathrooms. If you do not replace the tub with shower, at least put a rope on the shower head. Then I can easily clean my body...... I will definetely come back'

'Good value for a short stay in a convenient location just off the beach road. Property is quite dated, but our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I will mention that the outer entrances were unlocked all day and night, even though there were card reader mounted right next to the doors. The breakfast voucher was great; the restaurant breakfast was excellent and far better than the usual breakfast options in this class of hotel.'

'This is one of our go to’s in OC. We are always pleased with everything. This time around we got a room where the AC was not working at its full potential. We spent 2 nights but reported the bad AC after the 1st night and we were given a fan which is fine I guess as a quick solution but the AC unit really needs to be fixed. We barely slept the 2 nights we were there due to the heat and high humidity. I don’t think this is a common thing at this hotel as they are very much on top of everything...

'Very clean, two minute to the beach, and very nice pool! Only downside is no wi-fi and you can't hook up a console or streaming device to watch streaming apps. Also wish there was more parking. Thankfully we were always able to get to a spot before it was full but late night goers may struggle. Definitely a nice spot for those who don't care about that stuff and close to the beach.'

'This is our second stay at Castle in the Sand and we had a great time! We stayed in the Waverly oceanfront efficiency and it was perfect for us. My kids loved the pool, especially the diving board, and the beach. The breakfast restaurant is very fairy priced and they have onsite ice cream. Coconuts has great live music. 'Overall it was a good experience, but the hotel is aging and it is noticeable. Property feels old and dingy. But beach view was nice. Parking at the hotel is convenient. Room felt clean, but next time I would just stay at the Hilton.'
