'Overall, excellent choice for a hotel stay. The staff is friendly, and our room was cleaned everyday. The breakfast is decent and the hotel is clean. The location of the hotel is pretty good as well. It is minutes from Mission Beach and Sea World. Close to shopping and a few fast food restaurants. The reason for 4 stars is only because parking is not included with the room. It is $25/day. In my opinion, there is no good reason to charge for parking in their own lot.'

'Unique stay in walkable part of San Diego. Very refreshing change from the typical box of a room offered by chains. Excellent, personal check-in experience. Clean, spacious room with expected amenities. Simple check-out process. Tasty scones for breakfast.'

'We’ve had an excellent stay, very walkable to Old Town San Diego, good restaurants in the direct area. The pool is a bit small though, San Diego zoo and the SS Midway are very close. The staff is very friendly and very nice and helpful, they give you great tips of the area. We stayed in a room facing away from the freeway, and slept with the windows open, no disturbing noises.'

'The staff was kind and helpful for the entirety of my stay. My room was clean. The bathroom did have long strands of hair on the floor and in the shower. The hotel is near other hotels and has a shared parking lot with plenty of spaces.'

'I was quite surprised at this property. The Fairfield Marriott was attractive and comfortable. The breakfast is very good and the price was right! The only drawback was to have to self park in a very tight tight underground garage which costs $30 a night. However, there is usually close by street parking at no cost.'

But parking 21 dollar fee will make me likely not stay here again esp when they ask me for my ID just to get a new pass when we extended our stay...did you have private equity bean counters squeeze every last penny out? Upset there are no free chargers anymore. Staff is very nice. Cleaning staff and maintenance guys are awesome. Lady at the bar at night server always...
