'I really enjoyed my stay. The Bucket Tree is very iconic, with colonial style architecture, lovely park-like surroundings and that giant bucket-shaped tree in front. I arrived in the middle of a heavy rainstorm, so really appreciated the warm and cosy room. I had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchenette and bathroom. Everything was lovely and clean and the service was great. I stayed for two nights and my room was cleaned each day. Would definitely stay here again....

'Have stayed here twice now with 2 kids. The rooms have been immaculate! they accomodate for my 1 yr old with a cot, sheets and blankets. My 8yr old daughter loves that they have sky tv and the gummy lollies in our room on arrival. Staff are very helpful. Enjoyed our stay with Totara Lodge and will definitely be back. Thank you :-)'

'This was an overnight stay at the end of walking the Tora Coastal walk, before a long drive back to Hamilton. The room was comfortable and very clean. Good supply of crockery, etc., and unit had everything we needed to cook breakfast. Nice view across the road to the harbour.'

'Heel aardig plaatsje. Paar leuke restaurants op loopafstand. Ontzettend schoon en verzorgd. Mooie ruike kamers in fraai aangelgde tuin. Ontzettend aardige vrouw die meerdere taken spreekt en goede tips geeft voor dingen die de moeite waard zijn. Mount Bruce is een bezoek waard en een uur van hier naar het noorden.
