La Tortuga # 7 bevindt zich op het derde niveau (twee boven de begane grond) met uitzicht op het zwembad en het sprankelende water van Akumal's Half Moon Bay daarachter! Dit ruime en mooi ingerichte appartement beschikt over 2 slaapkamers, elk met een kingsize bed en een eigen badkamer met douche en een mooi Mexicaans tegeldetail. De grote slaapkamer heeft ook een gigantisch verzonken bad. Het heeft een grote open woon- en eetkamer met schuifregelaars die uitkomen op het terras en een geweldig uitzicht bieden over de baai. De woonkamer heeft comfortabele zitplaatsen en een tv met satellietprogrammering. De keuken is goed uitgerust en heeft een ontbijtbar voor extra zitplaatsen. Er is WiFi internet in het hele appartement en airconditioning en tv's met dvd's in de slaapkamers.

Buiten op het uitgestrekte terras met uitzicht op de oceaan is er een tafel en stoelen om te ontspannen, buiten te eten en in het algemeen te genieten van het warme Caribische klimaat en een spectaculair uitzicht op de baai. Er is een balkon aan de gasten slaapkamer met uitzicht op de mangroven. Dit is de enige eenheid in het gebouw met deze functie.

Hacienda de La Tortuga heeft een heel mooi zwembad aan het strand, een gastronomisch restaurant op het terrein (La Lunita) en veel ligstoelen en schaduwrijke palapas op het witte zandstrand aan de voorkant. Er is ook WiFi helemaal tot aan het strand voor degenen die graag verbonden willen blijven terwijl ze aan hun kleurtje werken!

Hacienda de la Tortuga ligt in het noordelijke centrale deel van Half Moon Bay, op loopafstand van tal van voorzieningen, waaronder de duikwinkel Akumal Adventures. De baai voor de condo is geweldig om te snorkelen, want het rif komt heel dicht bij de kust, en het is de thuisbasis van een grote verscheidenheid aan zeeleven waaronder bedreigde zeeschildpadden!

Hacienda de la Tortuga # 7 is comfortabel en helder en een perfecte optie voor kleine gezinnen of groepen vrienden.

The apartment was very spacious and had all we needed to prep our own meals and enjoy the beach. The pool was just down the stairs and was hardly used but was very refreshing and enjoyed by my kids. The beachfront was great - plenty of loungers and it was right beside a very nice restaurant. La Lunita had tasty food and great drinks.

Perfect Vacation Spot

We were thrilled with our stay. The view, the accommodations, the staff, the restaurant, And the hospitality. It is a wonderful spot on the beach with everything you need within walking distance. Never rented a car. Full kitchen to prepare some meals although with the coffee/breakfast spot ACROSS THE STREET, and the magnificent food at the restaurant below, we were set.

Sure, some reviewers have pointed out a few minor spots in need of updating, but you'd have to really really hate the ocean and look for something to complain about, since the entire condo has a view of the ocean (with exception of a guest room.)

The restaurant on the main floor was very good and very convenient. There is also a great restaurant across the street that is open for breakfast and lunch. The views are excellent and the site management is very helpful and accommodating. The only issue we had is that our son is disabled and has a hard time with stairs. There is not an elevator so I would have rented lower floor units if I had realized he would have had to walk up. But that was only a minor issue for our son.

A Wonderful Vacation Home for our family

We had a wonderful stay at Hacienda de la Tortuga during a recent trip in March. We loved the spaciousness of the condo, the location, the gorgeous view (esp from the balcony) and amenities (room he even had a safety deposit box) Everything was exactly as described in the vrbo listing and we felt safe and pampered! We went snorkeling several times in Halfmoon Bay (be careful if the sea is rough), Akumal Bay (a must to swim with the turtles) and the nearby Al-kul (when you see two signs pointing in opposite directions - stay to the left - tours go to the right. Suggest going first thing in the morning or late afternoon to miss the crowds). The food was delicious at La Lunita (best meal of trip) and at La Buena Vida a short walk down the road (more casual - great vibe). Did some fun day trips to Coba (go early), Tulum and nearby cenotes (Jardin de Eden, Cristal). It was awesome being able to take a quick dip in the pool to refresh at the end of a day seeing the sights of Mexico.Highly recommend staying in this condo!

Reviewer Comments: Location is great, daily cleaning like a hotel, apartment spacious though dated and in need of renovation with no laundry facilities neither in the apartment nor hotel premises. Privacy limited to 2ppl, so for a couple it's great, but for family I would go elsewhere. The balcony is a hazard for kids younger than 3 as they can slip out of the gaps so only ground floor for youngsters. Corals look pretty on Half Moon Bay, but are sore to walk on even with coral shoes as the sea slams them into your ankles, and young kids fall over hourly with cuts from the sharp rocks. Snorkel value maybe 3*. Personally I would recommend Puerto Aventuras (by the dolphins), a much nicer experience.

Our stay was amazing, we arrived late and the security guard gave us our key and showed us the condo. The condo was very clean, large it had everything you need. There was a large box full of beach toys and snorkelling equipment. The view was the best and you could hear the waves from the ocean from our room. The manager even extended our check out time by an hour. We would stay there again.

We slept each night to the sound of the ocean breeze , and our good fortune was being able to eat nightly in the best restaurant of Akumal just downstairs. Everyone was polite and friendly, respectful re: Covid precautions- our first trip since the start of the pandemic. The town Dr. made house calls so we didn’t even have to fuss about getting tested prior to coming home. This was a perfect trip and just what we needed. We will definitely return to our hacienda in Akumal

Fabulous Condo for our family vacation

We stayed at Hacienda de las Tortugas #7 for a week with our two teenagers. The Condo was perfect for us and we loved being right on the beach with a lovely terrace overlooking the bay. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals and the place was really comfortable. Roberto, the property manager, was really helpful and we loved getting around the neighborhood on bikes. We also appreciated having an excellent restaurant (La Lunita) right downstairs. We found Akumal to be a refuge after experiencing the traffic and crowds in Tulum and look forward to returning.

We love our stay at Del Tortuga. The unit was great. The only thing i couldn't figure out was the stove :(.. but other than that we loved staying there and will more than likely be back sooner than later!!
