Akumal Breakers is een magische villa aan het strand met 4 slaapkamers en 3 ½ badkamer in South Akumal, Mexico, het juweel van de Riviera Maya. South Akumal ligt 1 uur ten zuiden van de luchthaven van Cancun tussen Playa del Carmen en Tulum. Naast het hebben van een van de beste stranden in de omgeving, heeft de rustige buurt ook 24-uurs beveiliging en een gated ingang. Akumal Breakers heeft een van de beste strandlocaties in heel S. Akumal. Het witte zandstrand ligt op slechts 25 stappen van de villa en is geweldig voor buitenspelen, zandkastelen bouwen of gewoon de hele dag relaxen en luisteren naar de golven die de branding raken. De villa beschikt ook over een groot zwembad, veel strandstoelen, twee opstaande paddleboards en twee kajaks met een uitstekende toegang tot het Caribisch gebied. Als uw kinderen willen genieten van een "echt zwembad", dan is Akumal Breakers de perfecte plek. De villa heeft ook een eigen warme en koude buitendouche, wat een geweldige manier is om de kinderen na het strand schoon te maken. De volwassenen zijn er ook dol op!De villa is net zo prachtig als de ligging aan het strand. De hele buitenkant van de villa is bedekt met met de hand gesneden 'Piedra Maya Vista'-steen, waardoor dit een van de meest unieke en onderscheidende eigenschappen aan het strand in de omgeving is. Alle vloeren zijn gemaakt van terracottategels geaccentueerd met Maya-hout. De villa heeft ook een unieke collectie Mexicaanse kunst en vakmanschap, waaronder schilderijen, houtsnijwerk en Onyx-lampen. Akumal Breakers heeft een glad hellend wandelpad rond de zijkant van de villa, zodat mensen met een handicap geen trappen hoeven te beklimmen om de woonkamer of de strandkamer te betreden. Hoewel de villa niet officieel is goedgekeurd door ADA, kan een rolstoel van de straat naar de woonkamer en de strandkamer passeren via een geleidelijk hellend betonnen pad. Twee van de vier slaapkamers worden beschouwd als privésuites en bevinden zich op het tweede niveau. De 'North Suite' heeft een kingsize bed, een eigen balkon aan de oceaan, een eigen badkamer en een kleine kluis in de kast. De 'South Suite' heeft een kingsize bed, een eigen balkon aan de oceaan en een eigen badkamer. De "South Suite" is extra groot en biedt voldoende ruimte voor een wieg of een extra Aerobed (beide zijn beschikbaar). Op de begane grond vindt u de 'Beach Room' met een kingsize bed met uitzicht op het zwembad en het strand . Er is ook een grote kluis in de kast. De aangrenzende 'Garden Room' is geweldig voor kinderen. Het heeft twee grote bedden, bordspellen, een Sony PlayStation2, dvd-speler en tv. De strand- en tuinkamers delen een grote badkamer. De villa heeft een eigen staf die het interieur en exterieur in perfecte staat houdt. Ze kunnen ook uw maaltijden bereiden voor een vergoeding en ze zijn erkende massagetherapeuten.

Private, safe property. Beachfront property gave us immediate access to kayaking and paddle boarding. Family of eight had lots of room to spread out and they could enjoy all amenities of their choice.

Incredible property, amazing experience!

Our stay at Akumal Breakers exceeded all expectations! The home and property were amazing as advertised and the on-site staff were very helpful with any questions or requests that we had. We opted into the meal plan to have some breakfasts/dinners prepared for us and they were delicious and convenient. The location is well situated near plenty of local attractions, though at times we were perfectly fine not leaving the personal pool and stretch of beach. We all had fun snorkeling and kayaking just out in front of the house and exploring the local town of Akumal. There’s plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the property manager had plenty of tips and suggestions on the local amenities. Lunda was great with communication and extremely well-organized. Overall, our group could not have had a better time and we’re already planning a trip back. Highly recommend!

Relaxing and beautiful Christmas vacation with family

My extended family of 11 spent Christmas at Akumal. We were greeted by Mirna and Luis and they were perfect hosts. They kept care of the place, very helpful and cooked a couple of meals which I would highly recommend to take advantage! If anything I should have done a few more. The home and property was beautiful and more spacious than I expected. The patio, pool, seating area under the palm trees and beach were perfect. Plenty of seating anywhere you wanted to be on the property inside and outside. 2 hammocks kids loved to lay in. Upper deck was perfect to stretch and have coffee. We had more than enough room for all of us to have beds which were very comfortable. We also had massages right there on the beach which was another perk with both being massage therapist. I booked one for the first morning. We also felt completely safe. We walked to restaurants close by. The only recommendation I would have is to get at least one rental car to be able to make short trips. This was the recommendation also by the property manager. We didn’t want to drive and opted for taxi. We had grandparents with us who couldn’t walk the beach and required transportation short distance. We did get a great service for our group through Miguel all week and was reliable. Just required planning in advance to have a shuttle for 11. Snorkeling was also really good. All in all would highly recommend and would definitely go back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The area felt VERY safe (security was unobtrusively patrolling the beach and the guards at the gate were very attentive) and we really enjoyed hanging out on the property- both the shaded areas and sunny areas! Buena Vida (a short drive) and Jungle Fish (walking distance for lunch or early dinner) were our favorite restaurants. The beach area in front of the house was the prettiest and had the least amount of seaweed. Several guests from nearby hotels would walk over and set up on the beach in front of the house, so be sure to bring the lounge chairs down to the beach early in the morning to "reserve" your space. Would definitely rent this house again!

Amazing stay

Villa is beautiful and exactly as pictured and described. Beachfront perfect for relaxing. Loved using the paddle boards and kayaks. Bring snorkel gear, see tons of fish and sting rays. Water shoes are a must, the water entry is very rocky/coral. If you want a really hot shower, use the outdoor. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Rooms very spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed for food and cocktail prep. All showers had shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers. Would love to return!

Amazing stay in Akumal!

Our family had an amazing stay at Akumal Breakers over New Year’s! The home is in safe neighborhood (with a gate guard) right on the beach! Our family all had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed the pool and playing in the ocean just a few steps away. The house has a couple paddle boards and kayaks to use and the coral reef was a great place to snorkel! Definitely suggest bringing water socks to make walking out in the ocean easier. We grabbed a couple masks in town, didn’t need flippers. Tulum was about 20 min away. We spent a day having lunch there and visiting a few of the cenotes, highly recommend. I can’t say enough about Lunda, the property manager! She was so organized and helpful, sending us lots of info about the property, things to do, and helpful hints for traveling to the area. She really went above and beyond to make the trip for our family special! The caretakers, Luis and Mirna, were there daily to clean and prepare some meals. We were told they give amazing massages but our trip was cut short and we didn’t have the time to enjoy. Next visit! I would highly recommend this property for a family. Great place to play and relax in the sun while having quiet and privacy away from town!

Perfect slice of Paradise

The property was perfect for our group of 9 (two families - 4 adults, 3 teens, and 2 pre-teens). Spacious and lovely, with beautiful mosaic windows, light and bright, and plenty of room for all to spread out, though we spent most of our time outdoors adventuring. We snorkeled right outside in the bay and took advantage of kayaks and paddleboards. Hammacks outside were perfect for midday naps. Morning coffee among the palm trees followed by cocktails in the afternoon. Pool was refreshing and a welcome alternative to the sea. Everyone loved the outdoor shower and the BBQ outside stole the chef's hearts of our husbands. Every day they talked about what to grill next! Mirna and Luis are amazing - my son wanted to try one of the coconuts he found in the yard and Luis opened it for him. We requested Mirna and Luis to make a dinner meal for us and they overdelivered -- we still talk about her cooking. We also asked for massages on the beach and it was an incredible experience. Lunda was very communicative as well -- we had a phone call prior to our arrival and she provided great info about the property and surrounding areas. She also let us construction started on the road to the airport and it was very welcome information -- It took us 2 and a half hours to get to the rental car drop off! Plenty of time thanks to Lunda's insight and communication with us. Lastly, one of our favorite features of this property, of course, are turtle sightings. We loved checking out the turtle trails in the morning and "patrolling" the beach in the evenings. I thought about a pros/cons list, but there aren't any cons (other than no amount of time is going to be enough), so here is the list of my rec's/Do's/tips: - Outdoor shower! - Proximity to points of interests -- cenotes, Tulum, Akumal Pueblo/beach, Cedraui, PDC... - Walking the beach trail south (15 min), check out the Beached Bikini Bar (cash only) - Walking the beach trail north to Lol-Ha and Akumal beach, - getting ice cream at Turtle Bay Bakery, shopping at the artisans' co-op (45 min) - Dining at La Buena Vida, La Cueva, and Taverna - Bring water shoes - the trail is rocky and the beach out front of the house has rocks and coral (we had water shoes/socks and Crocs) - Bug spray, sunscreen and hats -- musts! - Remove half of what you put in your suitcase -- you won't it -- most of our time was spent in suitsuits We had a wonderful time, thanks Lunda, Mirna and Luis!

Wonderful family vacation at Akumal Breakers

We had a wonderful stay at Akumal Breakers. The home was very comfortable with ample space for our family of 8. It was great to be right on the beach, tucked away in a small community. The home is centrally located where we could easily get to Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, and not too far from the Cancun airport. The hosts were very responsive, had great communication, and went above and beyond to support our stay. The staff Luis and Myrna had impecable customer service, and went the the extra mile on many occassions. We had Myrna cook for us a couple of nights, and the meals were delicious. My only regret is not to have taken a few more days at the home to wind down and enjoy all that the home had to offer.

We loved the villa, the neighborhood and the beach just steps from the home!!!! It was a week of bliss and enjoyment with the family. The hosts were fabulous and gave us detailed instruction on all important items that helped us be well prepared for the trip. Lunda and her husband are fantastic hosts and we loved their willingness and availability to help us when we needed. Everything we'd hoped for and more!

This vacation rental is perfect. Absolutely beautiful and totally accommodated our diverse group of ten. Mirna and Luis were great and keep everything in order. Rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable The kitchen is beautifully organized and well equipped. Our own semi-private beach was beautiful with nice sand and snorkeling at our fingertips. The pool was perfect for the kids and the gardens have so many places to hang out We recommend Akumal Breakers wholeheartedly!

Best Family Holiday Ever

Our family of 7 (including 2 aged 90+) enjoyed a beautiful Christmas and New Years at Akumal Breakers. The home is comfortable, spacious, and perfectly appointed. Everything you might want is at your fingertips. The location is a dream, so beautiful and relaxing. The beach out our back door, the kayaks, stand up paddle boards, ample lounge chairs and hammocks with a view! Even a top deck for those who wanted to sunbathe with more intensity. The staff, Mirna & Luis were accommodating and kind. We ate every meal at home and asked Mirna to “surprise us”. She did a fantastic job and my 90 year old Mother discovered her love of Mexican cuisine (Mirna’s cuisine!). Luis kept the grounds lovely and his evening cocktails were well received. A warm smile always greeting us. It was a beautiful, magical vacation. We will all cherish the warmth & hospitality we enjoyed at Akumal Breakers. Fondly, The Miller Family

Amazing Stay & Customer Service - Highly Recommend!

From the beginning before arrival, we had great communication with the manager who helped us navigate all precautions regarding International COVID policies and also sent recommendations for groceries pre-stocking, chef services, transportation and tours/activities in the area. The property was very safe, cleaned and well equipped with everything we could need including towels, toiletries, extra linens, power strips for plenty of charging options, complimentary water, beer and wine, beach towels, sand toys and kayaks/paddleboards. The beach is gorgeous. We felt very safe the whole time. The property managers were knowledgeable and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. We are already looking to come back again soon!

Absolute jewel

I went ahead and warned the owner that she would be stuck with us! We will definitely be returning. The beautiful white sand beach and tropical trees sharing the back yard & pool. We loved the rooftop views and the staff was awesome. You can tell a great amount of love has gone into this home.

Amazing family trip!

I kept trying to book in Tulum for our family/friends fall break and couldn’t find a place with enough room and on the beach. Akumal Breakers was the perfect place for us! It was quiet, laid back, close to many restaurants in Akumal and a short drive to Tulum, the Mayan Ruins Coba, so may Cenotes and so many options for day trips! I think the absolute highlight was watching a baby sea turtle that hatched in the back yard, hustle to the ocean to be with its family. It was a special trip. The house is great, plenty of room for everyone, 7 of us. We snorkeled every day right in the reef behind the house, it was amazing, so many tropical fish, muy tranquil! Myrna and Luiz take excellent care of the house and made some of the best dinners we had in Mexico!

Great Group Getaway!

Akumal Breakers is a fabulous house in a beautiful location. The house was perfect for our two families and with both the beach and pool, offered lots to do as well as plenty of space to spread out and relax. It was an ideal jumping off point for local activities, but we didn't need to leave the property to enjoy the area. The beach out front had the best snorkeling we've experienced. And we were amazed by the nesting turtles nightly! The owner was appreciably communicative and informative, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a vacation at Akumal Breakers!

Perfect Beach House

Akumal Breakers is a perfect place for a family beach vacation in Mexico. The setting is beautiful. The location is convenient to the small town of Akumal and close to the bustling town of Tulum. The home is very well appointed and furnished and has all the conveniences of home. There are a lot of places to sit and read, by the pool or the ocean and, with reef shoes, you can snorkel in relatively clear water with a fair amount of coral and tropical fish. Our family of five had a relaxing vacation and would return.

Wonderful week in the sun.

Great house, great location. The staff did a fine job and was very helpful. The one thing that we missed was a dishwasher.

Awesome!

Great time with the kids. Beach is amazing. Luis and Mirna are both great. Recommend Jungle Fish Beach club in neighboring development for dinner.
