Budgethotels in Alabama Mountains

'The breakfast was excellent. We were disappointed that the restaurant in the hotel was closed until Tuesday (and it says open every day). That was one reason we chose the hotel - thought we could have a drink and unwind for the evening. The front desk staff could not recommend any good restaurants nearby - which always amazes me that they don't know the area. The pullout couch was actually very comfortable. However the mattress pad and blanket were dirty so we had to request a new one and...

'Room was pretty clean, other than the used bars of soap in the shower. Breakfast was a joke. Half-filled cereal containers, no utensils (another guest had to go into the cupboards to refill them), just barely anything to it. But… for our one night road trip stop, it worked. '

'The breakfast menu was fresh. The air conditioner worked fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk kindly agreed to take a photo of my wife and me with my grandchildren and their parents before we departed. '

'We have dogs so he gave us a dog room. I guess that just means they clean as minimally as possible and don’t do any up keep on the room. Ive never stayed in a more run down hotel room. The sheets were clean though and the front desk guy was very nice. Also the parking lot/other guests seemed sketch. Wouldn’t stay here again.'

'Rooms were small but clean and modern. Nice seating pad near the window. Overall look of hotel was nice! Fitness room had three machines that were usable but all had its defaults.. Breakfast was really good, apples and oranges were nice! Eggs and sausage/biscuits and gravy also. Management wasnt very friendly, no spontaneaous greetings on every encounter. Didnt seem very interested or pleased with running the hotel.. Close to the shoals which was good!'
