I am glad you liked the location and the equipment in the apartment however I do not understand your comment about the musty smell. When you were introduced to the apartment there was clearly no musty smell, and I am sure if there was such a smell, you would have raised it with Nicola who would have investigated it for you. This has never been an issue in the past and we have monitored the situation since and there have been no issues. I would apologise if the kitchen and utensils were not up to your standard. I know the cutting boards are always washed prior to each visit. I do accept that dishwashers are not always full proof but the machine is recent. I have subsequently serviced the machine and given it a thorough clean. Subsequent guests have not made any complaints about these issues and equally no previous guests have either. The town of Sao Martinho do Porto does have many local attractions including the wonderful beach and the board walks you mentioned. There are several historical sites nearby and several good restaurants. It is a good holiday destination for all the family.

Leslie, thank you for your review and glad it was a good holiday for you. Thank you for raising things that you thought were not correct but it is a shame that you did not raise either of the issues whilst you were there. Nicola would have assisted. However, regarding the 2 issues you have raised I would make the following comments. Not all of the gym equipment requires electricity to work so not sure what the issue was with those items that did not require electricity.. With regard to the equipment that does require electric, I can only assume someone turned off the electric on the fuse board. Obviously that is something outside of my control but I will see if I can find anything about that. Regarding the oven I do not understand your comment. The oven has the commonly included 2 rotary switches, one for temperature and one for function. In what way did "the oven temperature gauge not work" please. There is no gauge as such but the rotary switch will indicate the temperature. If I have misunderstood anything then please let me know and I will investigate. Kind regards Paul Evans

Thanks for your review. There are also 3 alternative routes to the beach from the apartment, one of which is via a lift to the town square by the tourist information office.
